5.0 out of 5 stars Cute!
These are a good value for the money. I needed some coasters for my office/bedroom while our house is being remodeled and I wanted something that wasn't boring. They have a nice metal face with the cute designs and a "corkboard" bottom. I keep one on both desks and one on the nightstand, the other lives in the cute tin that came with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Futurama is the best!!
It is hard for me to only give it a 3 star rating (I want to give it 5 because it is Futurama), but because of the quality I have to. I purchased a few sets of these and when they arrived, they looked GREAT! In fact, they still do! They have a great metal face and feel solid. It is hard for me to only give it a 3 star rating (I want to give it 5 because it is Futurama), but because of the quality I have to. I purchased a few sets of these and when they arrived, they looked GREAT! In fact, they still do! They have a great metal face and feel solid. However, after only a dozen or so uses, moisture has caused the cork bottom to bloat and become un-sturdy. When I set a glass or bottle on them, I'm constantly worried that my drink might spill because it doesn't sit flat on my glass coffee table.

Again, they look great and seem to be high quality - The cork bottom is the only downfall. Maybe a rubber bottom would have been a better choice...?

I got these as a gift for my friend who is a fellow Futurama/beverage fanatic. He loves them and uses them all the time. The designs are awesome and they come in a nice tin. If I could ever remember to use a coaster in my own home I might want a set of these for myself.

I have these on my desk at work and mostly keep them in the tin. Most of the folks I work with don't watch Futurama and miss the awesomeness of overall product. They can however, as computer programmers, appreciate the "Olde Fortran" joke. The coasters have painted metal on one side and moisture absorbing cork on the other. In an effort to protect the images, I try to use them gently, not slide them around on the painted face and make sure they are dry before putting them away. A little small for my coffee cup but just right for that can of Slurm I keep handy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Futurama Coasters, October 22, 2010

Even if you do not happen to be a beer-swigging robot, a Slurm-addicted delivery boy from a prior millennium, a Cyclops spaceship pilot, an extraterrestrial lobster in a lab coat, a billionaire Valley Girl from Mars, a number-crunching Jamaican bureaucrat, or an addled 150-year old inventor, the chances are you could use a sturdy set of coasters to keep alien stains off your coffee table.
Good news, everyone! Produced in homage to Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's "Futurama", they are now available and affordable.
Crafted in cork-backed shiny metal, with a handy tin container, each of the four coasters bears the grinning image of Futurama's Numero Uno mechanical man Bender B. Rodriguez ("Hecho en Mexico"), with the logo of one of his favorite ales and a characteristic wisecrack:
Lobrau Beer ("You're payin'!")
Lobrau Light Beer ("Light beer is for real men!")
Old Fortran Malt Liquor ("Goes down smooth!")
Benderbrau Cold Fusion Stream Beer ("Bet you can't hit the toilet from here!")
Sweet deal of Mobile! The next time you are entertaining the Horrible Gelatinous Blob or your pals from Planet Express drop by to watch the latest episode of "All My Circuits", you could have these decorative furniture protectors under the tall frosty lagers. What Futurama fan not controlled by a brain slug would want to be without them? Shmeesh!

This announcement comes to you from the past
which is what happens just before the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars futurama fans who own wooden tables rejoice!, October 14, 2010

If you love futurama and you hate those weird rings cold beverages and their condensation create on your nice wooden table, this is what belongs between your beloved chilled beverage and your beloved table of tree flesh.

It's decently made. Nice cork on the bottom. Comes with nice holding tin. Eh. they are just coasters; it's like trying to write a rave review on a ream of paper.

Kind of limited in variety, I hope they come out with other versions!
