About the Author
Tim Jones is Programme Director of Future Agenda. He is a recognised leader in innovation and future growth. He founded the respected innovation strategy company, Innovaro, and has led a number of programmes looking 10 and 20 years ahead for organisations such as Shell, P&G, Mars and Speedo. He advises a number of public bodies on innovation and future priorities, is the author of five books, and is a regular speaker at corporate events and conferences.

Predicting the near future is simple, but time consuming. Author Tim Jones has made that his career, and this book shows that he's pretty good at it, making him a popular speaker.
There isn't anything in this book that you couldn't learn with some research. No "next new things" are in here, it's all about predictable trends.
However, it's all greatly condensed. He makes a list of resource stocks, food trends, the increasing popularity of gated communities, social trends. Throughout, he maintains a neutral "just the facts, ma'am" sort of presentation, but these are all insightful facts.
He ends the book with ten questions for governments, ten for organizations, and ten for individuals. Then the ample sources are given, at the end, with several hundred links. I went to one of these links to read about new methods for forestalling Alzheimers.
Highly, highly recommended if you want to know what's likely to happen, near term.

From there you are presented with six clusters shaped by these macro changes. The clusters highlighted are health, wealth, happiness, mobility, security, and locality. But wait! There's more!
