Every person I know would like to understand what God says about the end of the world. That's what this book is about.

The church I pastor, New Song Community Church, spent the winter of 2007 studying the book of Daniel. What we learned was freeing, enlightening, sobering, and motivating all at the same time. During the series, attendance jumped by seventeen percent. A buzz of excitement went through the church every time we opened a new chapter. By the time it was over, nobody wanted it to be over. So I promised to write a book.

You should read Future History if:

-you'd like to know what to look for when you're wondering if the end of time is near;
-you want to develop a deeper appreciation for God;
-you desire to live life more intentionally in light of what's coming.

Future History is a walk through one of the most exciting books of the Bible. The book of Daniel houses twelve chapters. Seven of them are prophecy; the other five are history. At the same time, much of what was prophecy to Daniel is actually history to us. Through visions and dreams, Daniel predicted the rise and fall of Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome, all of which came true. Daniel's record of already-proven prophecy gives me confidence to believe that what he says about yet-to-be-fulfilled events will also come true.

The theme of Daniel is "Heaven Rules" (Daniel 4:26). Every chapter demonstrates that there is a God who holds humans and their history in his hands. As you see the Lord deliver Daniel from the Lion's Den, rescue Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace, as well as correct the arrogance of Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar, your faith will be strengthened.

I hope, from reading this book, you will not only learn about what's coming in the future, but your confidence will be strengthened because you will more intimately know the One who holds the future.

In Future History: Understanding the Book of Daniel and End Times Prophecy, Hal Seed brings the fascinating and mysterious story of the Book of Daniel to life unlike any book on the subject that I've ever read. His detailed explanations of the people and events during that time period really helped me understand what was going on and why. His many references to other historical documents of that time brought more credibility and clarity to this book of the bible, that I had previously overlooked because it was just too confusing. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to understand the Book of Daniel, End Times Prophecy or even for those looking to just learn more about that time period.

Much of the book of Daniel has long been a mystery to me. In Future History , Dr. Seed provides a very easy to follow journey through the book of Daniel. Much of the prophecy of Daniel has already been fulfilled, which confirms the authanticity of the book.
The authors description of the "End Times" described in the book of Daniel is Eye Opening. If you want to know what the future holds, this book is for you. Future Times provides a guide for being ready when the end comes.

Never before have I had such a glimpse of how intense the end of the world will be. FutureHistory painted a very clear understanding of the book of Daniel, and gave me such peace in my everyday life as I realize that God will win. No matter what happens today, God will win! This book does a great job of clarifying some of the passages I overlooked because they were confusing. Clear. Inspirational. Motivational.

This book explains the book of Daniel like nothing else I've ever read! Written clearly, with a sense of humor, Hal Seed lays out the prophecy of Daniel and how accurate it has been over the centuries. A must read for anyone wanting to understand how God has fulfilled his promises and what He has yet in store!
