About the Author

Aashish R. Parikh is currently a medical student at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry with Special Honors. Aashish has performed extensive research in the fields of analytical chemistry, cellular/molecular biology, and emergency medicine. Subsequently, he has published numerous journal articles and abstracts concerning forensic toxicology. His goal is to become a physician with an emphasis in international medicine. During medical school, Aashish has been involved with healthcare in the countries of India and Nepal.

Future MD is probably the best medical school admissions book I've read. I liked the fact that medical students wrote it and they answered a lot of my questions. I really appreciated the chapter desciribing what it's like to be a medical student. Overall, this book is a great buy!

Future MD is probably the best medical school admissions book I've read. I really liked that medical students wrote it and it answered a lot of my questions. I strongly recommend this book to anyone wanting to go to medical school.

Future MD is a great read. It's nice to get advice from people who know what it's like to be in our position. I really appreciated the chapter desciribing what it's like to be a medical student. Overall, this book is a great buy!
