As i listen to this cd for the fourth time since i purchased it yesterday. It continues to suprise and amaze me that ATB isn't more popular than he is. He's able to pull all kinds of people to sing on his records including this one "Future Memories". Which kind of takes you to a different place and time. I know it probably sounds corny. But if you've been a fan of his over the years you know what i'm talking about.
The song production, beats, lyrics and vocals all come together in this effort and make for what is truly an excellent all around effort. Their a total of 26 songs spread out over 2 discs. 14 songs on the first one and 12 on the second one. With all that some would think that the cd drags through but it doesn't as each song. It brings you a little something different than the last one. ATB continues to put out great music for not only his fans but for people that enjoy music in general. "Future Memories" is something you NEED to add to your music collection. It's a nice beginning look into the world of ATB, it costs a little more but for what you get. It's so worth and its always on point. Grats ATB!

I think my ipod is going to get worn out.
I can't stop listening to this album. I really like both sides. I like the first side in my car and the second side when I am working on the computer. I miss heather on this one, but tiff is wonderful.

Not sure how to exactly classify the music in this latest release. its like a super size helping of Tech/House/Breakbeat/Club/drum n bass all rolled perfectly into a super audio sandwhich. Very uplifting and euphoric in many spots. Even though the mp3 album was considerably cheaper here, I still opted to spend the extra cash on the CD. Listening to this release in any compressed format doesn't do it justice.

One thing that's always impressed me about ATB is his ability to split disciplines. For the most part, he 100% separates his 'studio albums' with his full DJ mixes, and doesn't get tangled up in his own works by cramming his mixes full of noting but his own songs and remixes (in start contrast to others). His tracks with female vocals have a distinct feeling, instrumentals soothing. The majority has the standard club/dance beat, but he never repeats the same tricks in the same way. The "kick" sound is never the same. It's an incredible talent to be able to produce several albums within this genre and still make it possible for people to recognize each specific track if he were to mix them all together. There's never any collective droning or lack of variety. Plenty of things are quite experimental, and it's obvious how much effort he puts into it all.
That said, I'm absolutely floored by this album. It's everything said above and still more than you could imagine. My view might be a tad skewed by a lot of other similar artist-DJs having bits of an identity crisis as of late or trying a different formulas... But that's the irony-- ATB has set his career on making everything played in a club or anywhere else so personalized, it's not remotely out of character. I again think of the uniqueness of every track, which is very difficult in a 2CD set. Second discs are almost exclusively reserved for DJ mixes of the main album, remixes and video features... not here. There are only 3 total tracks collaborated with different artists and only 1 remix out of 26 available possibilities and it's refreshing to see someone still doing so much solo. It's all here. Trance anthems, hard-beat club tracks ("Summervibes with 9pm"), pop-vocal dance ("Behind"), vocal-driven emotional outcries ("Still Here"), ambient, drum'n'bass, experimenal... and incredibly impressive high tempos in the 200bpm range. A few tracks are simply indescribable with any existing musical terms ("What About Us"). He makes it all work. Every discipline, without fail. Tempos from 100-200bpm. I have to go back a full decade to Leftfield's Rhythm and Stealth to think of another time an artist could cover this much ground in one place. The album might have a title track, but it's certainly not what stands out most. Everything has such equal detail that it's nearly impossible to determine anchors for the album of things that would work best as singles. Arguably, it feels like he deliberately made the most memorable tracks to be those that are the least likely to ever be closer to mainstream. Other dance/electronica artists trying to appeal to more of a pop audience have a mammoth amount of work to do in order to catch up. Pop appeal, club energy and raw streaming power of music are all displayed here in the same package. Few other attempts to reach out to so many have succeeded to this degree while still satisfying the main fanbase.

Continuing the trend from Two Worlds and Trilogy, ATB has released another two CD collection, this time titled FUTURE MEMORIES. On first listen, it feels like a continuation of the style and emphasis of TRILOGY with strong instrumental ambient at the center of the album. The first CD contains songs which generally have lyrics, and the 2nd CD is entirely ambient with no lyrics at all.
There are certainly nods to earlier ATB offerings, like the dated sounding "Summervibes with 9pm." These tracks probably have to be in there for those who are still really into the 90s era of ATB; after all bands are frequently lit up by long time fans for moving away from their roots. However, I prefer Trilogy's emphasis on ambient and not dance/rave/party music, so I've enjoyed FUTURE MEMORIES quite a bit. The first song that really grabbed my attention was "Gravity," which has a great down-tempo feel with a solid bass line and vocals. The title track "Future Memories" reminds me a lot in it's staccato beat to "Enigmatic Encounter" from Two Worlds (one of my favorite ATB tracks ever). The songs on FUTURE MEMORIES seem more anthem like than those from Trilogy, with a surging choruses and melodic, almost classical hooks. The same breathy singing is back and sometimes just feels over the top--is there a rule with ambient that singers must sing like this? Chicane had no problem using crystal clear vocals. However, there are exceptions like the previously mentioned "Gravity," which feel very well done. The strength of this album is in how it builds off the last decade of ATB's albums, with just enough of everything to please most fans. I found myself really getting into some of the tracks and really feeling pretty 'meh' about others (My Saving Grace for example). It is not perfect, but if you enjoyed TRILOGY, you will really like FUTURE MEMORIES as well. 4/5 Stars.

Every person who loves trance, progressive, house and etc loves ATB. All his albums are classic and they never get old. This is exactly like the previous albums from ATB. I love Armin Van Buuren, Van Dyke, Tiesto, Dead Mau5, and all other Djs and producers but ATB always creats or brings back memories to you that none of the other producers song do. Although I just bought this album, it is already sticking on mind and becoming a memory. I am absolutly enjoying it and I highly recommend Future Memories album by Mr. André Tanneberger. A+

Out of the 26 tracks I made a play list of 22. It's not that I hate those four tracks. It just makes a playlist that fits me.
Atb* has stayed true to his roots! He keeps coming up with new ways to expand his music. While keeping each track sounding like an Atb* track. Since I downloaded this I haven't stopped listening to it. You won't go wrong by getting this!

I love this album in its entirety. Every track is amazing and inspiring in it's own way. If you're a fan of ATB then you definitely have to pick this up, and if you're new to trance...then you have at least give this a chance. Warning though...you may become entranced.
