Future past, September 6, 2010
This review is from: Future Past (Audio CD)
I am a new fan to the California synthpop band Anything Box. I was first introduced to ABox from a friend who told me to check out their song "Carmen". I immediately fell in love with the somber song. The lyrics are depressing but the melodies is addictive. I could not believe that a band from the '90s could sound like they came out of the '80s. Future Past is my first ABox release that I own. I enjoyed all the versions of "Carmen" but I really enjoyed the spanish version. The bonus material which contains remixes of "Soul on "fire", "Clean", "Living in Oblivion", "Where is Love and Happiness", "Interlude Movement 26", and Easy Distant Sigh" is either a hit or miss with me. I would have much rather heard the original versions of those songs to be honest or just have the remixes of "Carmen" and nothing else.
