5.0 out of 5 stars Riveting from Begining to End
This is an excellent, easy read, and a must read for all. In fact, Jesus has talked about reincarnation in the scriptures that were suppressed in the 3rd century, cuz the church doesn't want you to know about it. Anyone who tells you differently hasn't done their homework. This book does an excellent job explaining this change of doctrine, and it is a fact that...

In fact, Jesus has talked about reincarnation in the scriptures that were suppressed in the 3rd century, cuz the church doesn't want you to know about it. Anyone who tells you differently hasn't done their homework. This book does an excellent job explaining this change of doctrine, and it is a fact that reincarnation was a part of the church's teachings, as I have read other books that verify this history of the church. This book emphasizes that these predictions are prospects and not written in stone which are subject to changes depending on the mass consciencness of humanity. You will not be disapointed if you purchase this book, I guarantee it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Future Prospects of the World According to the Bible Code, October 2, 2005

This review is from: Future Prospects of the World According to the Bible Code (Paperback)
This is an extrodinary book, a must read for anyone with an open mind and not bound by the dogma of the church or fundamentalist preachers. I've studied this subject extensively and feel Joseph Noah must be a very advanced human spirit to have so adeptly understood the Bible Code and what it means.
As for those who reject what this author has to say because he offers that Jesus Christ was NOT God, re-read your Bible. Christ said do not worship me, do not pray to me.....I bring you God's Word, His message.....pray to God, our Father, not me. Jesus Christ also said do not make a church in my name.....He knew man would corrupt His message and re-write it to their own selfish aims. Jesus Christ said He was the Son of God, the Son of Man, not God Himself. Too bad so many are led to believe the corrupted word of a Bible that has been changed to suit the church leaders, ie: reincarnation is not valid, that through Grace alone we are forgiven and will go to heaven, that Christ was God, and that we cannot raise ourselves to the heights of perfection with God's help and guidance.... as Jesus Christ did. True, Jesus Christ is the pinnacle of perfection, and we cannot even conceive of His greatness, but He did come to be an example to us all and to show us the way back to God Almighty through repeated chances to learn our lessons via reincarnation. God created a just and perfect set of Universal Laws. Primary is the law of cause and effect (karma) and in this perfect system no one can get a free ride from their 'sins', they can only learn and atone for them through experiencing themselves the hurt and pain they have caused others. Christ came and died for our sins yes, but He only took them and held them in 'abeyance' for a period of time so we would have a chance to move forward in our progress. He knew otherwise we would have been 'buried' in our sins and not able to make any progress, such was the horrible human condition during Christ's time here. By taking on our sins on the Cross, Christ has held off what would have been the natural outcome of our sins, delaying those effects until now...the end times, the tribulation. And now today all of our past deeds need to be released to satisfy God's perfect Law of cause and effect... we are now reaping what we have sown in these days and for the next several years. It'll be rough having to deal with our accumulated bad karma through the Universal Law of Cause and Effect, that has now been released, but some of us will make the best of it and make great strides in our progress by handling it in the correct manner and making the right choices. The Laws God created are perfect, so the Law of Cause and Effect is perfect too and this is why in His mercy, God sent Christ down to us to help us out and give us one last chance by holding the results of our misdeeds off for 2,000 years so we could move forward the best we could until it is now time for it all to be released and for us to make our choices of what we will do with it all. The vast majority of church leaders today are only interested in holding their flocks under their control, massaging their gigantic egos and keep vital information from us that helps us grow closer to God,...don't be one of these 'brainwashed' folks, be true to what your God given spirit is trying to tell you, you all have innate intuition you can use to be very discerning in what you use to your own benefit....don't be led around by others that say they have the 'inside scoop' on how to get to heaven.....it's only through hard work, discernment and true love of all of God's Universal Laws... which say learn your lessons well, truly love your fellow human beings here, move forward and work towards perfection while here in 'schoolhouse earth'. You have it within you to make it.....do it with God's help and Christ as your example.

3.0 out of 5 stars very well written, May 20, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Future Prospects of the World According to the Bible Code (Paperback)
If you are interested in the Bible Code I believe that this book is well worth reading. It saddens my soul to see how critical and judgemental so-called Christians have become in our society today. I truly don't believe that this author is a pagan as one of the other reviewers claimed him to be. Mr. Drosnin, whom that reviewer referred to as having an "excellent book" claimed himself to be an athiest. Did that reviewer actually read Mr. Drosnins book? If anything, the most important message in this book is that our society is in trouble and that we all need to change and better ourselves soon. It is apparent that this message was missed by some. Because of my strong faith in God, I know that my soul is not damned simply by reading a book. In my opinion, this book was definately worth reading.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nonsense!, March 7, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Future Prospects of the World According to the Bible Code (Paperback)
This book is full of nonsense and a waste of money. The encoded words Noah found were not even in close proximity to each other and they are not even about the same subject as the surface text.

Most of Noah's findings were not Biblical. His interpretation of the discovered hidden words were unscriptural and were based on his own paganistic beliefs. He twisted verses to suggest that Jesus was not God while ignoring dozens of messages both above and below the same Biblical passages that declared that Jesus (or Yeshua)was indeed the Messiah or God.

I believe that Joseph Noah had his own agenda. He wanted to use the Bible Code to prove to the world that reincarnation was in the word of God and he used random hidden words to create this false message. He forgot that the Bible said in Hebrews 9:27- it is appointed unto men once to die, and after that the judgement. There is not going to be any reincarnation! There is not going to be any second chance.

In conclusion, I was debating whether to buy Mr Drosnin's excellent book or Mr. Noah's book. I found the title "Future Prospects of the World" intriguing and I assumed that Mr Noah was a Christian. I was wrong! This book was almost 100% wrong and could be damning to the soul if one believes this nonsense.

The previous reviewer is a fundamentalist without the fun part.

"Damming to the soul"?!? Not very christian. Perhaps the reviewer would like to discuss the Empress Theodora's 4th century censorship of the Bible? Reincarnation was in it then!

The misunderstood mission of Jesus was to end reincarnation by forgiving one's enemies- something the reviewer should try, if he realy wants to be a Christian.

1.0 out of 5 stars There is no "Bible code", May 20, 2005
This review is from: Future Prospects of the World According to the Bible Code (Paperback)
One of the foundational qualities of the Bible is its clarity (sometimes called perspicuity). That means Scripture's main teachings are plain enough to be understood without the need of special expertise or church-sanctioned interpretations.

The Bible frequently speaks about its own clarity. Psalm 119:130 says, "The unfolding of Thy words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple." The average person who humbly reads the Bible can say, "I have more insight than all my teachers, for Thy testimonies are my meditation" (Psalm 119:99). Psalm 19:7 teaches, "The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."

The idea of hidden codes in the Bible contradicts all of that by limiting accessibility to the real message of the Bible to so-called experts who can decipher the cryptic messages God "hid" in the Scriptures. But such "experts" aren't needed because the Bible contains no hidden codes.

One hidden-code theory works like a common word-search puzzle-hidden messages are supposedly embedded diagonally within the Hebrew text. But that's as foolish as turning your daily newspaper into a word-search puzzle and expecting to find meaningful stories hidden in it. Newspapers aren't written to convey messages in secret code, and neither was the Bible. Both should be read using ordinary rules of language.

Of course there are concepts in the Bible that are hard to understand-even the apostle Peter admitted that (2 Peter 3:15). But the way to discover the meaning of those hard passages is not by seeking out hidden messages, but by engaging in diligent study that accurately handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Take heart! The Bible is clear and even the most untrained reader can understand it. God wants you to understand the Bible, and He has provided the Holy Spirit as a guide (John 16:13). After all, "man does not live by bread alone, but...by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD" (Deuteronomy 8:3).
