Sinisstar live,
By robert Altenhofen "Robert" (Portland, OR USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Future Shock (Audio CD)
Sinisstar is one of the best bands i have ever seen live. I first saw them when they opened for Adema in Portland, and ever since, i have been a huge fan. Everything about Sinisstar is cool, from their totally origonal sound to the clothing they wear on stage. This CD is a powerful piece of music that is long overdue.

I don't have this CD yet but I will get it soon. When I went to the Rob Zombie concert SINISSTAR was opening up for him and the were cool. There bass player seemed the loudest. He was shaking my hole body and it felt like my heart stopped a couple times but it was cool. If you don't like there CD go check them out live the are cool.

nothing new, but fun to play really loud,
By G. Faville "gfav611" (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews

I bought this CD on impulse. I was looking for it months ago when I heard the song PsychoSexy on the HeavyMetal2000 film soundtrack (the movie put a hurt on my eyes, by the way). PsychoSexy was one of the better tracks on that CD, and I still think it's one of the better tracks on their solo CD, although it is the last track on the CD. Interestingly, the version on the Heavy Metal Soundtrack CD is cut in a different order for the verses/bridges/choruses. Frankly I think the Heavy Metal version is better. But you can go buy both CDs and be the judge for yourselves.Anyway, there's really not much to say about the music itself. It sounds a little like Marilyn Manson circa Antichrist Superstar mixed in with a little late 80's arena rock sound mixed in with some numetal rap-style screeching. The lead singer has a powerful screech. Most of the tunes have a decent thump-a beat that is fun to play REALLY LOUD in the car, and most of the lyrics are basically just the band putting their middle fingers in the air and fist banging with the other. There is a proliferation of the F word.
