5.0 out of 5 stars Futuro Beyond Support Pantyhose, large, beige, firm, full-cut
I am thrilled with these firm support stockings. They do not rip the way other support stockings do. They are much better priced than the $80-$100 stockings I used to buy at a local medical supply store, and so much better quality. I can go all day long without pain, even when working on my feet, or doing hard labor.

My feelings on these particular support hose are exactly opposite of what the reviews here say. They are VERY uncomfortable. I hate them. It takes forever and all my might to get them on (and off for that matter) I hate how thick they are. I feel so ugly in them. It is almost worth all the pain of my vericose veins not to wear them. I am thrilled with these firm support stockings. They do not rip the way other support stockings do. They are much better priced than the $80-$100 stockings I used to buy at a local medical supply store, and so much better quality. I can go all day long without pain, even when working on my feet, or doing hard labor.

I gave a pair to a friend who must stand up for about 12 hours a day on her job, and they are so effective for her, I am ordering 2 more. It is important, if you have pretty painful vericose to purchase at least 2 or more pair. That way, you can keep the other pair(s) washed and ready to put on in the morning.

They are so strong, I am able to put them in a hosiery bag, and wash them on permanant press in my washing machine. However, it is important to use a detergent like Woolite, or a store-brand equivalent for delicate-wash to wash them in. But do not dry them in the dryer!! Just line dry them.

When I do handwash them, I squeeze them, not wring them, and then roll them up in a towel to get as much water out that way, before line drying.

I do wish 2 things: that the centermost panty-panel was cut out. Because it is not, I simply cut it out, inside the seam line. This minimizes sweating and makes them easier to move around in. Also, I have not been able to find them in any color but beige. This color is fine for me, but my African-American friend would prefer a darker color so it would look more natural on her. Since a good number of customers are undoubtably African-American, it would be nice if someone considered their needs in this regard.

I have to wear firm support hose because of my varicose veins. I have tried other brands, but these are absolutely the best! They are relatively easy to get on and provide good graduated support. The only problem I've had is finding them. I'm so glad Amazon is carrying them and at a great price, too. If you need support hose, I would highly recommend this brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Actually comfortable & not impossible to get on, November 29, 2007

I am 32 years old and bought these pantyhose to wear after having sclerotherapy injections for spider veins. I had never worn support hose that were this firm before, but I was surprised that they were fairly easy to get on! I wasn't left huffing and puffing and breaking a sweat after just putting them on! :) The support was plenty firm and the pantyhose were actually pretty comfortable. I like the way that they're shaped like feet at the ends so that it's not too tight under your heel and not wrinkled up on top of the ankle like you get with regular hose. I thought the waistband was a little too tight though. If you don't have a super flat stomach and washboard abs, then the waistband on these will be pretty tight.

I am a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts. I have always worn some sort of support hose but about a year ago my legs started bothering me more. I switched from knee high TED hose to these and the difference is amazing. My legs feel so much better when I wear these so I only wear these now. No swollen feet at the end of a day, no aching calves. Well worth the 20$-25$.

5.0 out of 5 stars MY MOM IS HAPPY!!!, November 6, 2006
This review is from: Futuro Beyond Support Pantyhose, Medium, Nude, Firm, Brief-Cut Panty, 1 Pair Box (Health and Beauty)
I bought 2 pairs for my mom who is medicated firm support for long time now. She has bought numerous brands and hence qualities, and claims these one to be her best, even better than Futuro made in Colombia. She is happy, so am I! And besides, I ended up paying much less than for other fashion brands.

It takes forever and all my might to get them on (and off for that matter) I hate how thick they are. I feel so ugly in them. It is almost worth all the pain of my vericose veins not to wear them. My last pregnancy I found some compression hose that were so comfortable (and inexpensive). I don't know what I did with them and the store I bought them at no longer carry support hose. I wish I could remember the brand. they were great and did the job. I'm still looking for something like that!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed, April 15, 2009

As a diabetic, my doctor precribed support pantyhose to control leg swelling. I had worn these Futuro anti-embolism firm support pantyhose in the past when I lived in Maine, but could not find them locally in Idaho. I was very pleased to be able to obtain them through Amazon.com, and my legs definitely feel better when I am wearing them.

I got these for scholortherapy. They told me I only needed thigh highs (of course after the appointment) but I still used them. They actually were not bad. Pretty comfortable (for what it is) and sturdy. Sizing was frustrating since it's not listed on the description. I should have sized up 1 size bigger than I typically buy in spanx or pantyhose (according to their chart) but I was still pretty comfortable.
