This product REALLY immobilizes your thumb, so don't expect to be able to do much work with this on. I actually use it when I sleep to help recover a bit from the mouse-clicking of the day. Anytime when you don't really need to use your hand is fine, but this is not something you can really wear while working on the computer or doing almost anything I can think of.

I sent this as a gift so I don't know how it worked but looks sturdy.

We thought these would be perfect, but the ones without the thumb support work better. Our doc said to purchase something with thumb support, but the thumb support didn't alleviate the tendinitis as well as the ones without thumb support.

I purchased this thumb stabilizer as I was suffering from De Quervain's Stenosing Tenosynovitis (inflammation on the thumb side of my wrist). I have relatively small hands as I am a petite Asian woman, and this stabilizer fits my hand well and comfortably. It does the job well and still allows flexibility and mobility for my other fingers as I am in front of a computer typing at work all day.
