4.0 out of 5 stars This thing is a beast!
I am 16 and I tried this out at the park a few days ago. This thing is so fun to ride! It can lean side to side, and the front turns, all indenepently so you can choose how much to bank in a turn. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not great for transportation
I bought the Fuzion as a replacement for an old hand-me-down Razor that my eight year old used regularly. I've been a little disappointed by a few things. The wheels are wide and the material creates a lot of friction with the asphalt which slows down the scooter so you have to constantly kick. However, the four wheel style prevents the rider from kicking and building up...

I don't understand why this is being sold at Toys 'R' Us, considering it's something that would appeal more to adults. You can get into the high 30s if you found a big enough hill.

The wheels are the only problem, whether to cut production costs or save kids lives by reducing speed, it does hamper it's abilities to carve since they are made of plastic.

If you really plan to buy this, and want it to go as smooth and fast as possible, find a shop that sells Longboarding Wheels (prefferably Sector 9) that are 70mm or above, stick them on this thing and it will be a much smoother, faster, and grippier ride.

I suggest no one under 12 ride this down any big hills. I seriously think they would kill themselves unless supervised by someone who could stop them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun, June 30, 2006

My son got this for his 8th birthday and is having a blast! It is very easy to put together (took me less than 10 minutes). It is like a combination of skateboard, scooter, mountain board, etc. He has been on it every day since he got it. Its also good exercise and can really pick up speed. Definitely a good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's so much fun!, December 2, 2008
OMG! This thing is so much fun! I'm (censored) years old and I was looking for something more substantial than my kids' old Razor that I'd been using. I found this and I thought I'd give it a try. My other choice was a xootr but that thing is over $200 and looks like it's more of a fast commuter scooter.

The biggest difference between the Fuzion and a regular scooter is the ability of the Fuzion to carve. The footplate tilts and the rear wheels turn at the same time effectively giving you 4 wheel steering and the ability to bank your body. In practical terms it means you can steer by throwing your body around by moving your center of gravity just like on a skateboard or skiing. It is this which makes the Fuzion much more fun than a regular scooter. Depending on your ability it'll just take you just a few sessions to master this and it's so much fun you'll get addicted to it.

After about 20 minutes on it I was twisting, turning, carving like a kid, and me with degenerative arthritis in my joints, a disc herniation in my back and runner's knees. This thing was so much fun that I tired my kids out before they tired me out.

It's really easy to put together, just a few minutes and they even include a couple of cheap wrenches in the box.

I highly recommend this to anyone over about 100lbs. Any kid lighter than that I recommend the Electron since I think they wouldn't be able to throw their body about enough to make the twists and turns that I could, since this scooter is kind of heavy and you need a bit of heft to do it. But if you're an adult you'll be able to take the handling to the limit. And I think I will get those longboard 70mm wheels that others here have recommended.

I haven't had this much fun for ages, it's even better than you know what. Two thumbs (with arthritis) up!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love my scooter!!!!, September 1, 2007
By
I stumbled upon this scooter while shopping for a Razor Kick scooter, and decided to give it try. It took my dad and I about 20 minutes to put together, and then I was up and scooting. Since I had experience riding more traditional scooters, it only took me 5 minutes to get used to it.
My 14-year-old brother hadn't ridden scooters before and it took him a little longer to get the hang of it, but he loves it too.
We have been riding it as much as possible since we got it, and today my dog took me for a ride down the street. So far, I have only fallen off once and I always wear a helmet. In my opinion, this scooter is much more fun than a traditional kick, and is never going to get boring.

My daughter wanted rip stick skate board until she saw her friend wipe out and tear the skin off both of his legs!
I showed her the Fuzion and she was sold! It looks cool, it's fast, safe and most importantly, FUN!!

Ordered this for my boyfriend's son for his 7th birthday and he loves it! He flies around on this thing to the point that is almost too fast. But he always wears his helmet and protective gear so it is all good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled by 4 wheels, December 4, 2008
OMG!! I purchased this item for my 7 year old son and what a find. This item is quite the scooter. This may be mistaken as a regular scooter with four wheels and a safe item for beginners...NO WAY...I may take this from my son..lol..what a fun durable thrashing item..This item turns, carves and is capable of many tricks. This item can also be used in a half-pipe.

It will take a least a few tries to get the hang of the balance and movement. The board is about the size as a regular skateboard.I put this item together to make sure it was all it said it was..checking before Christmas..I rode it all over to make sure it was appropriate for his age...lol I rode it so much and had tons of fun, as a 35 yr old mom I probably looked just silly...but now I have to clean the wheels off before Christmas and act like nothing happened :)

Parents, this is a great price and is a over the top entertaining item. For children that are beginners to scooters I may shy away from this item until they have established good balance and practice good safety techniques such as wearing helmets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for kids!!!, April 23, 2008
I'm 32, 6'4" and I love this thing!! If you like board sports you will have a blast on this thing, heck no matter what you like you will have a blast on the Fuzion. I'm a bit tall for it, but when you bend your knees, sit your weight back, and start gliding into turns it feels so smooth and is so much fun to ride.

It carves really nice, especially on a slight decline. Steeper roads can be pretty scary going downhill, because it picks up speed quickly and handling can be difficult at high speeds.

I love riding it, and highly recommend it.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Kid Likes it - he is 8. It works Well. It was easy to assemble. Have not used it much because of the weather. When I first saw it, I thought it would be hard for him to use, but it turns out easy to do. If you are good at skateboarding, you probably will not like it. But for someone just starting out, it is great. It is even fun for me - I am 43.

I found this on Amazon and I thought I'd give it a try. My other choice was a xootr but that thing is over $200 and looks like it's more of a fast commuter scooter.

This Fuzion, on the other hand, is built for handling. The front and rear articulations really work. After about 20 minutes on it I was twisting, turning, carving like a kid, and me with degenerative arthritis in my joints, a disc herniation in my back and runner's knees. This thing was so much fun that I tired my kids out before they tired me out.
