'Fuzz,Flaykes&Shakes,Volume 2:The Day Breaks At Dawn' (Bacchus Archives) Various Artists, April 23, 2006
This review is from: Fuzz, Flaykes, & Shakes, Vol. 2: The Day Breaks at Dawn (Audio CD)
Whoa!Until just two days ago,I never even knew about this CD compilation.'Fuzz,Flaykes & Shakes' is a superb eighteen track collection of sub-underground/little known psych, garage and pop bands from the late '60's.One track per band.Tunes I liked the best(this was a tough call 'cause they're all good)were Dave Travis Extreme, with "Last Night...",Traces Of Time-"Oh,Bob",Graven Image, with "Take A Bite Of Life",The Hacker's trippin' "Keep On Running Girl" and The Denim's "Salty Dog Man".If you dig other various artists collections like 'Electric Sugar Cube Flashbacks' or the Rhino 4-CD 'Nuggets II,Original Artyfacts',then this is a must-have for you.Highly recommended.Just remember to avoid the brown acid.
