An Impressive Follow-up,

Oz is a breath of fresh air. "Fuzzy" is an excellent follow up to the equally remarkable "Ha", with most of the same stellar performers returning ( including the incomparable Keith Carlock on drums).
Featuring a variety of tunes ranging from sweet to funky to occasionally 'out there', Oz continues to explore new ideas without ever totally abandoning the listener- a trait worn as a badge by so many modern guitar players - Oz puts feel and fun firmly at the heart of guitar-centric music. Comparisons to Beck and "Sco" are inevitable, as their fingerprints are here. Every artist has inspirational forces he 'goes through'. What's more important than where some one has been is rather where they are going. In his case, Oz is clearly going in his own direction. There are cases in which words or sound bytes won't do justice to a recording, and "Fuzzy" is such a case. Highly recommended.

Really Fine Jazz Guitar Work,

Oz Noy's "Fuzzy" is a terrific compilation of tunes, played with great clarity and power. There are a number of great guitarists out there, these days. With this release, Oz Noy confirms he's right up there with Abercrombie and Scofield. While guitar players and guitar fans will find plenty of blazing runs to enjoy, this CD is exceptional in the drum department, as well.
Heavy hitters, Keith Carlock, Vinnie Colliutta and (Letterman drummer) Anton Figg really keep the tracks pulsing with creative patterns and accents. While traditional jazz lovers might think Oz is too fusion for their taste - I'd say give this CD a listen. There's really great stuff happening from each player.

New Spark in the ocean of redundancy,

This album brings new sensations ! The sound and technique is very original, and does not attempt to do too many things at the same time.
Like it very much... really a fresh breath after travelling through a lot of dry woods....

Great disc. While anything with Keith Carlock on it is worth picking up, this one also features Vinnie Colaiuta on a couple of tracks, Anton Fig, James Genus, Will Lee, and Jimmy Johnson. Oz's playing is fresh, interesting, and musical. The tunes get stuck in your head right away. I recommend checking out all of Oz's releases. Great stuff.

Oz Noy is one of the most important guitarists today - his technique, tone and choices all fire at equal levels to each other - a rare occurrence. He's as good live as on disc. Brilliant!

I heard Oz Noy a few years ago. I love his funky style, sense of time, creative songwriting and of course-he gets great players to play with, Its a fresh funky type of fusion. He uses all kinds of cool effects..I love the Mojo Vibe on one of the tracks on the "Fuzzy" CD. I recommend any of his albums as they are aLL GREAT! Ha! one of my favorites1 And if you like Oz, I would also suggest yiou pick up Tal Wilkenfeld's cd. She is the little hottie that plays with Jeff Beck. Monster bass playerTransformation

Not impressed,

This is a decent album but I expected more from Oz, especially with his whole 'conquered Israeli music by the time he was 16' bio. Despite all the talk of Oz mastering and playing many different styles, the songs are basically all blues funk in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughn, with an occasional sci-fi sound effects section thrown in. The musics technically proficient but lacks excitement, Oz is a great guitarist but really needs to take more chances. The best songs are In a Simple Way which is jazzier and has a cool Jimi Hendrix like space out part in the middle, Sometimes It Snows In April which sounds like a country ballad, and Evidence where he plays with a wah pedal and lets loose a bit more.
