5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Marketing Resource as well as Maritime History Trip Planner, August 22, 2011
By
P.M. Leenhouts (Waukesha, WI, US) - See all my reviews
The Fyddeye Guide is an invaluable resourcee for helping the small non-profit for which I volunteer reach the kind of people we need to see our product. It lives at my right hand. Every listing contains a concise summary of the destination, what might be found interesting, and all the relevant contact data. I use e-mail, regular mail and phone numbers to reach people at these locations. I have also "discovered" several listings the author had not included and was pleasantly surprised to find the author extremely responsive, getting back to me within 48-72 hours each time I wrote in with a new listing. And, as an amateur maritime historian and boatbuilder, this is a first-rate trip planner. I believe The Fyddeye Guide should be on the shelves of every maritime activity in the US and Canada - in fact, if I could make just one recommendation, it would be to include Canadian and Mexican maritime destinations in future revisions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wells Organized and Bountiful, March 6, 2011
By
Steven Wells (Medina, WA, US) - See all my reviews
This comprehensive guide expertly assembled by Joe Follansbee is well organized and provides detailed information for anyone curious to know more about maritime sites and historic tall ships in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. What most impressed me was the volume of information which Joe painstakingly assembled into a very useable and interesting guide. I look forward to a future trip down the Oregon and Washington coasts with my guide in hand learning more about our maritime history.
