He loves the way it protect his ipad.

The padding on the sleeve doesn't wrap around the sides, rather there are a few flat pieces of padding sewn together at the edges, sandwich-style.

It would probably bounce a bit, if dropped.

If you look closely at the pictures of the G-Form Extreme iPad sleeve, you will see that the protective padding has small gaps in it. If the iPad falls "right" the padding will protect very well (the material feels like it really would absorb a bowling ball impact or a drop from 500 feet), but if the iPad lands "wrong" (on the edge, which is very likely in a drop, or gets hit by a narrow item like the side of a desk there will be almost no protection).

The edges are padded less than the sides parallel to the screen. This makes absolutely no sense, since it the iPad is dropped it will probably land on an edge, not square on the front. I wonder how many tries it took to get the iPad dropped from 500 feet in G-Form's video to land just "right."

The iPad fits very snug, leaving no room for smart cover or any other cover and making it a bit of a chore to get the iPad in or out.

I returned the one that I purchased because the whole point is to provide maximum protection overall, not maximum protection only if it lands just "right."

If G-Form makes a sleeve with this high quality padding all over, especially the edges, I would gladly buy it.

Updated***:

Bought this sleeve for my new ipad 2
This sleeve will definitely protect your ipad. i tried jumping on it(i'm fat.. like 300 pounds), no damage to the ipad. Really good sleeve.

It's quite fat about 4cm thick with the ipad inside.(just my thought. but it doesnt really matter to me)
protects the edges really well, especially the zipper part.

BUT
It's really difficult to fit the ipad2 inside.(-1 star) It's a tight fit, i guess it will protect the ipad from shaking too much inside.
It does fit the ipad with the smart cover, BUT IT'S EVEN HARDER to place into the sleeve!.(-1 star) takes like 30 seconds to put the ipad2 with smart cover into the sleeve.

Come on, cant you leave a tiny bit more space so it wont be so difficult to put the ipad into the sleeve?

other than that. it's a great sleeve for the ipad2.
Peace

***updated:
So i heard that a bigger version of this is coming out around JUNE 15, which can fit the ipad with the smartcover on. YAY! well done on your new and improved version!

I bought this case for an iPad 2, hoping it would protect it amply from my kids. After all, the dropped the case from space, right?

But here's the thing: in all the manufacturer tests, they drop the case back-down and the iPad will almost NEVER get dropped that way. It gets dropped on its side edges much more often, and I found out today that the case offers almost zero protection from that. The padding on the sleeve doesn't wrap around the sides, rather there are a few flat pieces of padding sewn together at the edges, sandwich-style. The iPad slides around pretty loosely inside, and takes almost the full force of impact if dropped on a side edge.

My iPad 2 now has a cracked screen from a kid drop, and I wish I'd bought a different case that had protection on the sides. Most rugged rubberized cases (e.g. Gumdrop Cases Drop Tech Series, (DS-IPAD2-BLK-BLK-V2)) do.

Beyond the lack of protection (which ironically is the key selling point), the case design is pretty horrible. There is a slot in the back for the camera, but the case completely covers up the sleep button and volume controls, making them very difficult to operate. It also sags in the back, making it a bit awkward to hold.

It's a pretty horrible case, all in all.
