I have been collecting GI Joe's since the 1st time I wandered into a old Zayre department store in the Mid 80s. Recently, I was very dissapointed to hear that the smaller, 3 3/4 inch line of Joes that I was raised on was going to be discontinued. All my years collecting the old Joes, watching the cartoon and feverishly collecting the comic were going to be changed, re-modeled, and modernized. I have to be truthfull when I say that my glass was more than half empty after hearing of the new Sigma 6 line. Was Sigma 6 going to remind me of the old smaller Joes? Would the classic characters made famous from the smaller line reapear, and look familiar with the new Sigma 6 line? And would these toys be durable enough for me to play with like the super comandoes they are?


Well I can say that all of these questions were answered with an emphatic "YES" when I opened Sigma 6's Snake eyes. 1st, Snake Eyes comes with 3 removable visors. One is his all but familiar visor, making him a spitting image of the Snake Eyes all of us older fans grew up with. He also has a gas mask and night vision goggles so he can infiltrate almost any facility in any setting. He comes with 2 swords that can be attached to his back. The swords also have a handle that folds out so he can hold it like a police night stick. He also comes with Suction cups, a hang wire, a knife that latches onto his leg and his signature UZI making him the unstoppable silent commando we all grew to love.


Bottom line, these Joes will re-invent the line. They are great images of the classic characters but have a modern flare that will excite the older generation and bring in a new one. One thing I must suggest though, if you do buy Snakes Eyes, please get his counter part Storm Shadow. I have always respected the story of the two sword brothers and know that if I buy one version I MUST get the other. If not, Snake eyes will be wandering my apartment looking for his sword brother forever...

My son got this as a gift and loves it, though he is not generally big on action figures. It has awesome workmanshp and durability. It comes with many interesting gizmos that kids enjoy playing with even more than the figure. It is supposedly a military good-guy, but the figure is has dangerous, secret-agent, ninja almost-bad-guy aura. I love that it comes with a special case to keep all the little gizoms from getting lost. Other kids have played with it at our house and got hooked on the character. You can get a great hovercycle for it too.

We are very very impressed with the Sigma Six collection. Snake eyes was a great suprise for my step-son this Christmas, he LOVED it!! These do however have small parts and I would not recommend them for younger children as the parts are eaisly lost or could be swallowed... Overall they're a great imagination builder for boys who love action figures!!
