G.I. Joe Authentic Footlocker with Gear

I don't know how educational this toy is except to explain how a military man might keep his things. But for this mom of 5 with boys who love GI Joe this was a must have for keeping the little things they own out of the bottom of my feet. They think it is fun to put their little items in the box and it makes it easier to lug out all the things to our backyard war zones. And I don't have to hear "Mom have you seen my guns and bullets??"

Another feature I liked is the box doesnt open really easy. At least our doesn't. I have a 2 year old son who thinks he is as big as his brothers but has a habit of putting things up his nose or in his mouth and this keeps those tiny "not intended for children under 3" things out of his reach and he can only carry the box around and bang on it and not open it. Seems to stand up to the abuse that guy has put on it trying to get to big brothers things.

This footlocker comes with a tray, and several accessories, such as a flashlight, all kinds of weapons, and MREs (Meal Ready to Eat -- A.K.A. "Meal Rejected by Everyone"). It resembles an inexpensive tackle box, but it is more than adequate to serve its purpose.

There is room for two Joes under the tray, although it does look like a tight squeeze. My son and I fit two Joes and a Joe HALO 'chute under the tray. If I had something like this to store all of my Joes' equipment when I was a kid, maybe my Mom wouldn't have gotten upset with me and thrown them out (just kidding, Mom!). My son likes putting the equipment back in the "footlocker," so HIS Mommy won't be getting upset with him for leaving things strewn across his bedroom floor!

For the price, I would say this is a good buy, and it makes it easier for your children to keep track of all those tiny pieces.

I gave all my boys (3, 13, 41 Husband) one of these for new year's eve. They were thrilled that they had a place to store all the accessories. There are little mess kits that open, first aid supplies, and other gadgets that come in the box as a nice surprise.

This box can hold only two G.I. Joes and all their equiptment. My friend has this set, and it keeps all his G.I. Joes and things inside it. I wouldn't say this is fun, because how could a box be fun? It really helps because their are many small things like gernades, magazines, and pistols that can be lost. This toy is not to educational, but the G.I. Joes can be. This toy is very durable. After at least a year my friend's box is in pretty good shape. And it dosent seem to have fadded at all. This is a great thing to hold your G.I. Joes and exceseries.

I ordered the GI Joe footlocker for my son as a Christmas gift, expecting that the container would be small...the size of a footlocker that a GI Joe guy would use. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it's big enough to hold one or two GI Joe dolls in the bottom half and has a roomy, divided tray in the top that can store all of Joe's accessories, and easily lifts in and out. This footlocker has been wonderful--it helps keep all those little pieces organized and it's durable enough to hold up to being carted around the house endlessly. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the locker latch is a bit hard for my 4-year-old son to manage on his own. But on the other hand, it's good that the latch stays shut so that the items stay contained. Overall, I highly recommend this item for anyone with GI Joes and accessories.

It brought back memories of having the same basic gear storage box I had as a child. Great place to store G.I. Joe accessories. Military stuff is hot these days and the price is affordable. Did not like the plastic structure, would prefer wood. Never-the-less, I highly recommend.

My 6 year old son loves his GI Joe footlocker (and so do I) because it is a cool, neat way to organize his GI Joe doll (sorry...ACTION FIGURE) and all the little pieces, like the canteens, clothes, guns, etc. (Note - if your boy has more than 2 GI Joes, you'll need more footlockers!) For [the price], this is a great toy that will last a lifetime, fits easily on a shelf or under the bed, and neatly keeps the GI Joe gear. He loves that we wrote his name and "rank"...my 6 year old is a Captain) on it in permanent black marker. He carries it with him when older brother plays sports, and plays happily with his GI Joe stuff, and is a hit with other little kids who enjoy playing with it, too.

I bought myself a footlocker and I was pleased with it. It comes with a tray to hold gear, gear, and a sticker where you can write your name,rank, and serial number. I take my footlockers everwhere, Like on trips, to my couisins' house, and out to my front yard. The box can hold 2 figures as well. Unlike the other reviewers, I believe the box is not hard to open, well, at least for me.(my sister is 2 and would lose all my gear if she could open it) I would have like to have seen a little more gear or the box could have been a little bigger, But that is O.K. Every person who has G.I.Joes should get a footlocker. Buy and enjoy!

If you are a GIJOE fan this is some thing that you can keep you gear, ect. organized. This is a great thing to have if you own a lot of GI- JOE's. If you purchace this item or any GI-JOE items I hope you have a fun time with it.

This kit had alot of cool stuff in it like energy bars,an M-16A2
with cilp,a Berreta model 92FS with clip,3 frag grenades,an M203 grenade launcher that can be put on the M-16 with grenades,a radio,knife,and room to store 2 soldiers.
