This review is from: G.I. Joe Mirage Vs. Cobra Viper - 3 3/4" Action Figure (Toy)
This is, in my view, the best set of figures released in the current series. Vipers are vital to any G.I.Joe fans' Cobra army. Although I would have prefered a more generic soldier than the Mirage figure included in this pack. The Viper is a combination of the 1986 Viper upper torso and the 1986 B.A.T. lower torso. The mirage figure is a repro of the 1993 Mirage figure. The weapons included are graphite gray versions of the '84 Baroness' rifle and '90 edition Saw Viper backpack for the Viper, the '91 Big Ben heavy machine gun (minus bipod), the '91 Talking Backpack Commander General Hawk automatic rifle and the '91 Lowlight (v3) jungle knife for Mirage. Keep an eye out for the version seven viper repaint (the green camo verion is v6), as it is, in my view, more Viperesque colours of black bulletproof jacket/helmet/gloves/boots and dark blue/purple camo trousers and shirt sleeves. I bought a bunch of these to build up my Cobra army, and the Mirage figure can, with a little imagination,be used as a generic soldier( if you have a whole bunch of them, like I do) Do be careful with Mirage's transparent clip-on goggles, as they may drop out from time to time. Other than that, this two pack is well worth picking up.
