This review is from: G.I. Joe Vs. The Transformers Volume 3: The Art Of War (G. I. Joe (Graphic Novels)) (v. 3) (Paperback)
This is a dream come true for kids of the 80's. Two of our favorite cartoon show franchises together in one book. It's a whole lot of fun. The action in "Art of War" is chiefly on Cybertron, focusing on the battle between Optimus Prime and Serpentor for the matrix of leadership. Along the way, the question of what it takes to be a good leader comes front and center.
The artwork in this volume is quite good - better on the Transformers than on the humans, with the people coming across as manga-style cartoony, and the Transformers coming across as huge and cool. |
