My wife loves this kind of earmuff (over the top of the head). She doesn't like the ones that wrap around the back of your head/neck - she finds those squeeze her head and aren't comfortable after long periods of time (and fall off). This model is her favorite and she wears them every (winter) day. This is her second pair in about 6-7 years - they seem to have a long life. Very durable, and fold up nicely to put in your pocket. Yet easy to open and put on your head. She has been known to wear them for hours at a time and finds them very comfortable. They stay on your head even when running/jogging, and are also light weight, wind proof, and warm.

I had been shopping in stores, and could not find "traditional" ear muffs. It only took me 5 minutes through Amazon.com to find exactly what I wanted. These ear muffs are comfortable, sized right, and a great price.

I've been using the oldest pair of earmuffs I own because I hate the newer "back of the neck" ones, which just slide down my hair and off my ears. So I've been looking for the "traditional" ones. I've had these for a couple of days now. They do feel warm. The band is rather uncomfortable--not so much in terms of tightness, although there is a bit of that, but there are sharp little pieces/imperfections on the 2 "connector" pieces of the band that were painfully digging into my scalp, I had to use a nail file to file down those sharp edges. I agree with the previous comments about the band being rather difficult to untwist.

I almost didn't order these ear muffs based on some other reviews, but I'm really glad I did. If you're looking for a simple ear muff, these are it and they are a great deal at only 5.69. One of the other reviewers commented that they were poor quality and too thin. They are thin because they are made with Thinsulate! If you want something bulky, I guess you should order a product not made with Thinsulate.

I bought something similar over 7 years ago at a Big 5, and absolutely LOVED them! They are simple, compact, and warm. Then I lost them in an airport and was devastated! I searched all the major sports stores and only found the behind the head wrapping earmuffs called 180's which just kept falling off my head. I was thrilled when I stumbled upon these, and immediately ordered 3 pair. I just came back from a backpacking trip in the Sierras where it dropped down to the 20's. Even when my legs were freezing my ears were snug as a bug! Great product!

These are exactly what I was looking for. I've been wearing this type of ear muff for 20 years. Everytime I break or lose a pair I spend months looking for its replacement. After I received my first pair, I ordered enough to last me another 20 years. I hate the around your neck ear muffs so popular these days. They are uncomfortable and they cost more.

Product is too small; no way to tell this from the ad before I bought. I would like to return, but to & from postage is more than the product!! I should have talked to the vendor about the product before ordering. I assumed (bad thing to do!) it would be big enough - never assume - classic case of "let the buyer beware!" I certainly share the responsibility for getting something I can't use, but I think the vendor should have had a better description - dimensions, how tight the connecting band is - or how big a head it would comfortably fit. On the positive side, delivery was quick, & I got just what I ordered.

These ear muffs were nearly impossible to get "open"...that is, they come folded up on itself, and to unfold them to get them on, it took about 10 minutes! (really) They just snapped back into a bundle, the plastic headpiece was so stiff. Once opened up,it was a real struggle to keep them that way just to get them on my head, they kept folding up into a tight bundle again. The ear pieces are nice and warm and confortable, but the plastic headpiece is NOT! The two adjustable pieces stick into the scalp and are really uncomfortable unless you have something else on your head under it. Plus the headpiece is smooth and slippery so it tends to slide off the head. They were inexpensive so I will not return them but they are not very user friendly, especially in the beginning when they don't want to open up and the ear pieces keep rotating around.....It was almost comical trying to just get them on my head!!!! If they came with a soft user friendly headpiece I would recommend since the ear pieces are pretty warm once you actually get them on!

I had a pair of similar earmuffs for years but they finally broke last year. I've been looking to replace them but couldn't find anything I liked. I finally looked here and found just what I wanted. They are comfortable and warm. I will be buying a couple of other colors in the near future.

Problem keeping muff pads from twisting/moving off ear while connector rod is worn at top of head. This product should have a loop or lock button or something to keep each muff pad stable once placed. Quality is otherwise good.
