Computer booted up fine, the speed and timing were detected wrong, but a quick switch in the BIOS and it's been working fine for the past 6 months. Handles all the latest games at max settings and heavy encoding...

I purchased this product in Sept. 2012 for a New ASUS build. I wanted to use an Noctua 6 cooler and recognized that the cooler was big (huge) and that it might impede the installation of memory sticks with cooling "fins". The G. Skill Ares series low profile 16GB I felt was an answer to what I was seeking. I have used G. Skill memory in my other ASUS motherboards and have had excellent results in their use. I Highly recommend this product purchased through Amazon.

Difficult to write a meaningful review for RAM memory modules since they all pretty much do the same thing providing you're comparing the same DDR type, speed, etc... , however I have to say the Ares series impresses me. I used diagnostic stress testing to run these chips through the wringer and make sure they'll stand up to the rigors of an application intensive, process heavy environment, and they performed superbly under pressure, passing the stress tests with flying colors.

These dimms are 2x8 ea whereas they are not on the quality list (?); they are working just fine in the a2/b2 slots of my new MSA99 Pro rev 2. They are at 1066; were in 1333 but I am not OC'ing until I gt cooling in my system working alot better; just using a stock fan for my CPU and running everything around a 1/3 of this computer's full potential.

When I built my computer, these were the memory cards to go into my chassis. I use my computer for gaming and I use it to work on more workstation applications such as Adobe's products, ZBrush, Autodesk Maya and Mudbox, and more. They haven't failed me yet (I hope I didn't curse myself haha)!

I wanted low profile RAM for my build and this seemed to be one of the best. I wasn't disappointed, it fitted perfectly , works on the first try and is performing like it should !
I would recommend it to everybody !

I am extremely happy with this being my first build and this RAM IMHO rocks!!!! Build below for viewing pleasure with link to pics. What I need to know is anybody out there with a similiar build to mine could give me some solid settings for Precision X for my GPU's. I have the CPU overclocked to 4.5ghz and it is stable, but I have yet to find a good solid working parameter in the EVGA Precision X program for my cards.
