Doesn't need much strength to use, either---much easier than most of the traditional rubber plungers.

This plunger was a last ditch effort to avoid the plumber (because times are a little tight for everyone right now) and VOILA!

Others have posted you have to slowly push the air out first, then let it fill with water, then push.

I kid you not, you toss out all the chemical Drano type stuff that never worked to begin with.

In addition to toilets, I have used this with tubs, showers, kitchen and bathroom sinks with 100% success! Especially perfect for renters...beats waiting for your landlord/lady or maintenance crew to finally get around to doing their jobs.

Doesn't need much strength to use, either---much easier than most of the traditional rubber plungers. Got another one for my mother who is in her late 70s, even she can use it easily.

I got mine at the local Evil Empire (a.k.a. Walmart) for about the same price as Amazon.

This plunger worked fine for the bathtub and the bathroom sink but failed miserably with the toilet.
Our toilet clogged for the first time yesterday. We tried to open it repeatedly whit this plunger for a few hours but the clog didn't budge. The problem seemed to be that the lower end is made of hard plastic which is not plyable at all. It didn't get into the hole to close it off. There was always bubbles coming up that showed that the air did not go into the pipe. In the end we called our landlord who said that this tipe thoesn't work for him either. He had a rubber plunger that is narrower on the bottom. He did just 2-3 blows and the clog was gone.
I can't say that this plunger is completely useless since it did work on a flat surface such as a drain in the tub.

this plunger works well when others fail. it plunges my toilet with one to two blows versus the old type by 20 or so.

The first time I used it on my kitchen sink "whoosh!" it cleared a clog I had been working on for days with a small 'regular' plunger in a few pumps. Then I tried it on the bathtub :-( The hard plastic would not form a seal around the drain so it was totally ineffective. Furthermore the hard plastic eventually bent, then cracked and now my Master plunger is on it's way to a landfil someplace. It was probably worth what I paid just to clear the kitchen sink. That chemical stuff is about the same price for a couple of uses which is about what I got out of "the Master"

They should make this plunger in purple, because everyone either loves it or hates it. Those who hate it are using it wrong. The secret is to SLOWLY force out the air on the first push. It will then draw in water. Then give it a forceful push (or maybe two if it's a Chipotle related incident) and your worries are gone. I've never found a plunger that works well for sinks, but if you wrap the end of this one with a wet towel, it does a pretty good job.

I have used this bad boy for years with great satisfaction UNTIL I installed a low flush toilet. The plunger doesn't conform enough to seal the shape of the bowl drain and I got a huge overflow blowout on every attempt. So sad.

I went back and forth over which plunger to order because I have an oddly-shaped toilet and standard plungers just won't do. I found this plunger on the list, and it had reasonably good reviews. Although it is fairly cheap, I went ahead and tried it anyway. It is fantastic! I had to angle it to fit my toilet, but the diagram on the paper that comes with it shows it angled. I highly recommend it for anyone who has trouble getting a standard plunger to fit over a slightly angled or oddly-shaped hole.
