I've owned my fair share of Kodak Easyshares, Canon Powershots, and i have a Sony Cybershot digital camera. I just got this GE G1 camera and i LOVE it. It's a great little point and shoot digital camera. It's one of the most compact pocket cameras out there, and takes incredibly clear photos. The 7.0 megapixels delivers great, crisp, clear photos. I will admit that the zoom leaves a bit too be desired, but who buys a point and shoot digital camera for great optical zoom? (That's what my Z1012is is for!) I highly recommend this G1 camera to anyone who wants a stylish, small digital camera that takes fantastic photos. It's great for people on the go, and has a ton of settings and features. I purchased the SanDisk 2.0GB SD memory card for it and highly recommend a SD card when you purchase your G1. With it, you've got 570 exposures to play with every time you turn on your G1. Go buy one! It's a great camera at a great price. -JS

Pros:
o Sleek styling, slim, attractive profile
o Reasonable cost
o Rechargeable battery

Cons:
o Profoundly out of focus using "AiAE" Exposure Meter; improved drastically with "Center Weight."
o Noisy zoom
o Poor low light performance, better with flash
o Poor battery life (rechargeable), about 3 hours
o Delayed shutter/flash makes it hard to capture fast motion
o Poor GE product support

I have had this camera for awhile now. My husband bought it from a computer show when it first came out. I have to say this camera has been a great buy. I do have another camera but this one is a perfect throw in your purse or pocket (its so small) camera. The pictures come out great and the camera is very user friendly. Nice size screen and panoramic picture taking option.
