Clearly the best!,

This review is from: G7th Performance Capo (Six String, Silver) (Electronics)
I've been playing the guitar for 40 years, and have tried my share of gizmos, gadgets and capos. Without question, the G7th capo is best that I've experienced. I let a few friends try it, and they ordered their own G7th capos. I've purchased two more for Christmas gifts. The quality is matched only by the outstanding performance. If you use a capo, you'll really love this one!

This new type and design of capos, manufactued in England (and warranteed for life) is truly wonderful. Available in six and twelve string steel-string as well as a new classical version, they are all easy to use, solidly built and - perhaps most importantly, easy to put on and take off with one hand without having to retune! For a musician, this is the most cricial element - that, and that it is 'kind' to the materials used in the manufacture of a good guitar. I use mine on a Martin HD28 and have had no problems whatsoever. A great move toward a new generation of capos! Not cheap - but worth every cent.

This product is truly amazing. I was a little hesitant, becuase of the price, but based on the other reviews, I took the plunge. This thing is simply the highest quality capo I have ever used. It is worth every penny.
Here are the pros: 1) A retarded monkey could figure out how to use this thing within about 12 seconds. 2) The build quiality is so good that I believe you could run over this thing with a MAC truck and gig with it the same night without a back-up. 3) You have excellent control over the tension 4) It is very safe. I use this on my US made Jackson soloist and US Washburn N4 with no fear that it will harm the finish. It has plenty of padding in all the right places. The Cons: 1) if you are reading this, you must not have one. That is all. The price is not a con. When you get this, you will see that it is well worth the cheddar. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Convenient and easy to use,

Pretty much just echoing what everyone has said so far...
This capo is awesome! Just squeeze the clamp to your liking and it will freeze into place. Pull the thumb lever and it releases. Easy to attach, remove, and re-attach with one hand. I also appreciate the thick rubber stoppers in protecting the neck. I was a bit wary at first, due to the price, but the second I used it I knew it was worth every penny.

Every time there's a new capo on the market, I buy it. Always searching for the ideal capo. Shubbs are the original standard, but not the one I reach for anymore. I prefer my Keysers to the Dunlop Trigger, and think the Keyser partials are very nifty, but still the not the ones I reach for anymore. Then I found the brass Dunlop with the screw mechanism. That was my favourite until I tried the Bird of Paradise. Beautiful AND functional. And now, the G7th. The best so far. The only possible downside, but it's to be seen, is that I wonder if the tension will loosen over time? Not curretly a problem, but I wonder...?
Anyway, for now, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Pros:
Easy to use Durable Cons: price It's expensive, but it is easily the best capo on the market that I've seen--unless you need a capo that can isolate specific/individual strings (too advanced for me). It's easy to use, has not damaged my guitar or strings and I've never had to tune my guitar after use. It feels very durable, like it will last a very long time. One thing I wish it could do though, is clamp to the headstock of the guitar like other capos. I sometimes find it annoying to have to leave it on top of a desk or nearby shelf. Once I was lazy, and just left it on the strings for a few days after clamping it on very tightly and it caused a permanent crease in the rubber, so now I have to clamp it on pretty tight or slide the capo up a bit to get a good clamp on all the strings. I bought this for myself two years ago when I first started playing, and another a year later for my girlfriend when she started playing. I've seen the price on this capo drop as low as $35 (you may want to check other sites such as [...] or musiciansfriend), but generally I've found Amazon will be cheapest at a range of $35-$40. If you are a beginner with an economy acoustic guitar, I would not recommend paying this much for a capo, but if you were like me, a beginner who was determined to play guitar for many years and who knew that they would get discouraged from a poor sound and a capo that made playing guitar a hassle, then you should invest in this capo. If money is an issue, figure out what you can afford, but IMO, you should put most of your money into a quality guitar rather than its accessories.

Worth every penny,

I've owned, lost, and discarded a lot of capos in 45 years of "pickin'". This capo is the real McCoy, lock it in place and forget about having to "fine tune". Expensive, but you won't be disappointed!

Excellent Capo,

I was weary of purchasing this despite the excellent reviews before trying it. Paying almost 40 dollars for a capo, when I knew I could buy a dependable Dunlap for about $12 seemed absurd to me. But when I was in a guitar store and had the chance to use one, I knew exactly why it was $40. And it is well worth it.
The capo is sturdy, easy to use, and there's no ring or buzz on any string. There's really not any words to describe how happy I am with this product! If you use a capo regularly, then this is well worth your money.

When I bought my first G7th capo, the shop owner told me to be wary of other musicians because the capos develop legs on their own. Sure enough, my capo went AWOL at a music festival.
These are simple press and release struts, very easy to use. The bottom has a serrated rubber piece so metal will never touch the wooden neck of the instrument. Cool.

This is the best capo I've ever encountered and a great value for the money. I've already purchased a 6-string and a 12-string guitar capo from this company, and the latest one was for my niece. She loves it too.
