Product Description

Color: Black

Enjoy a refreshing shower outdoors in sun-warmed water before and after your swim with the GAME Outdoor Solar Shower with Base. This eco-friendly shower soaks up the sun's energy to warm the water inside. Simply mount the shower anywhere within reach of a garden hose, hook it up, fill it up, and let the sun do the rest. The shower mounts to most surfaces but includes a base, if needed, and requires no expensive installation or plumbing.   Made from non-corrosive PVC, this shower has a swivel head and hot and cold temperature adjustment to give you a shower that's just as comfortable as the one you'd get inside. This is just way more convenient, exotic, and perhaps even scandalous. Non-corrosive PVC construction. Easy to assemble, just connect to a garden hose. Solar energy warms the water. Swivel shower head. Hot and cold temperature adjustment. Includes base.

Looks great, works as advertised, easy to assemble.

The water heats very quickly in our sunny and hot Sacramento climate, and the hot water lasts at least long enough for both my husband and me to shower after we swim.

It was very easy to put together, with only a pair of pliers (or socket wrench) needed to tighten the shower column to the rigid plastic base.

We purchased this as a replacement for a wooden shower that connected to a hose and had no temperature control. We swim almost daily and like to rinse off the chlorine as soon as we get out of the pool, and we also rinse off before we get into the spa. This shower is perfect for those purposes. Assembly was relatively easy, and with the pipe tape in place on all connectors, we have not had any leakage problems. The water heats very quickly in our sunny and hot Sacramento climate, and the hot water lasts at least long enough for both my husband and me to shower after we swim. (We have yet to run out of hot water when we needed it.) In fact, the first person to use the shower has to put it on a colder setting or the water is too hot. We have not had any problems with excess dripping or leaking, and the shower spray is contained in a relatively small area. We have been using this shower almost daily and we love it.

After a lot of research on solar showers, I purchased the AquaLivin' 4376, and I'm glad I did! It was very easy to put together, with only a pair of pliers (or socket wrench) needed to tighten the shower column to the rigid plastic base. It is really cleverly designed to fit into a relatively small package, without too many parts, but is solid when assembled. Best of all, it provides an affordable way to rinse off sweat and dirt before swimming or simply to cool off after a day spent in the sun. This sturdy, portable shower would be ideal for stables and sporting events as well. The column comes in 2 sections, one of which seats inside the other and is held firmly in place by a large "nut" (for lack of a better term) made of the same resin-like material. The base (should you decide to use it) comes in 4 sections which lock together and are held by rubber grips, which in addition to four more rubber grips, keep the base from sliding around. When you bolt the flanged bottom of the shower column on the base, it further solidifies the base as a unit. If you'd prefer to secure it to your own base, anchor bolts are provided in the package. The water temperature can be adjusted with the single handle which they recommend you always start in the middle (warm) or on cold, as the water can get really hot in full sun. A basic, but adequate shower head comes with it, but I plan to substitute one with a hand held sprayer to make it more versatile, like for rinsing off a young child or a pet. (There is a similar model which comes with a "foot rinsing spigot" but it is not currently available.) In any case, making more connections to the basic pipes adds to the possibilities of leaks in the future; I figure simple is best in that regard.Read more ›

Bought one 3 years ago and love it. It's so nice to have a hot shower after an evening swim. It's a short hot shower but enough for one or two persons. I love it so much going to buy a 2nd one. No leaks, easy to assemble, hook up the hose and let the sun shine.

Okay, I don't normally write reviews, but I'm reading reviews on this and people are complaining: "Cools too quickly when the sun is down." or "Doesn't work well in the winter." Well -- what do you expect? It's a plastic solar shower!

*Whew* Got that off my chest now. I've had this shower assembled and hooked up to the hose for the last couple of weeks. No leaks yet, probably due to liberally using the silcone tape they provide, and instruct to liberally use. I live in the desert, so obviously we get a lot of sun. And the water gets very hot now that our days are touching 100 degrees. But even when the days were only getting to the low 80s, the water was still very hot. You can easily get a few minutes of very warm shower out of this thing when it's fully warmed up.

Took me maybe 15 minutes to put together. The hardest part is making you get the top part of the column all the way seated against the bottom part of the column before tightening it down. Had to put some weight into that step. The instructions clearly call to use 12-14 layers of silicone tape (provided) on the metal shower neck before screwing into the plastic column. Please do so, or you will likely get a dripping leak.

Other reviews talk about a metal base -- mine came with a four piece plastic base that you assemble together and bolt to the shower. Seems very sturdy, even when I have it installed on a patio with a slight tilt. Wind hasn't blown it over yet, but the water weight helps in this manner. Oh, and it comes with a rubber ducky, so that's worth it right there!

I have zero complaints -- so I have to give it 5 stars!

UPDATE -- TWO MONTHS LATER

Disclosure -- I live in the desert, so our highs now are reaching 110 degrees!

This is a great shower that does exactly what it says it will do. That said, be sure to read the fine print. DO NOT LEAVE THIS UNIT OUTDOORS DURING THE WINTER IN SUBZERO WEATHER, even after you think you've drained it and disconnected any water line. My first unit cracked completely in the base tube and was rendered unusable. I had to order a second unit. But the instructions tell you to dismantle and store in a protected area. I wish I had read the fine print.
