At first I was skeptical about the game, the graphics looked great in the screenshots and the gameplay that was showed seemed to indicate a simple kind of top down scroller. Its much more than that once you get into it, there is alot of depth in the combinable/refinable items, loads of things to kill, plenty of quests, and of course PvP!!
As far as the story goes, having not played the first game, it seems to be fairly strong, its not Shakespeare by any means, but the story isn't the real draw of the game. I am reminded alot of Zelda and Secret of Mana when I play the game, which is great because they were both excellent games that I held very dear in my RPG heart. While not quite as in depth as those games (the graphics may be better than those 8-bit 16-bit gems) it does have PvP capability that does add a fun spin to the traditional grind gameplay.

4 of 5 for Graphics: Definitiely a kind of anime inspired graphics for the overviews and a sprite based character build that has a very eastern feel to it (many of the monsters resemble Pokemon, making it that much more fun to kill them!).
3 of 5 for Sound: The sound effects are pretty entertaining, the music can be a bit bland at times.
4 of 5 for Gameplay: With the PvP option there is really no limit to the amount of replay value, and of course there are 4 different characters with unique abilities to play through with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money! April 11, 2011
By ehSteve
I had every intention of paying for this game, yet amazon beat me to the chase and offered it for free today. So far, I am in love with the story and the feel of the game and can't wait to play more. As of now, I would definitely pay the five dollars for it, and no RPG lover should pass this up, especially while it's free.

Very good game, easily worth the $. Graphically, it's on par with say, a DS Pokemon game. Not supreme in that area, but nice and well detailed. Music and sound effects well done with minimal repetition. The character dialog is hokey, funny, and yet carries the storyline at a decent pace. Character control is simple and easy to use, even when fighting. Mini adventures and tasks throughout, as well as the main story. However, and this is where the game loses a star for me, the in game menus which display your stats, inventory, etc are all horribly tiny! It would work on a tablet or like device with a 7" or better screen, but on my phone, Samsung Epic, they are hard to make out and work with. Also, selecting and item in the menu may and may not give you the description of it. Why they couldn't make these menus fullscreen,I have no idea, but as it is, I feel it really takes away from the feeling of completeness the rest of the game has.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best rpgs for Android March 22, 2011
By A Customer
Zenonia 2 is a great follow up to the amazing game Zenonia. Z2 is an improvement to Zenonia in almost every way. Hours of great game play. I think the price is fair for this solid game.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best game on android April 11, 2011
By Muz
Runs really well on htc desire hd, I'm assuming this is invariant amongst other high-end devices.
10/10 Comedy (dialogues are hilarious)
9/10 Gameplay (online pvp, brilliant comicy combat, vibrant landscapes)
9/10 Graphics. Only let down by menu sizes (Is no issue once you learn to use the onscreen d-pad which you can move away from home button).

I have never seen any game this smooth and fun on an android, so many people are knocking it because there can be issues with battery life and hitting the wrong buttons while playing, but these are problems all phone game developers have to deal with. I think it's pretty awesome and after half an hour was owning pvp wiv a dual shotguns mage!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game! April 21, 2011

I love this game and have lost many hours of my life to it! I'm only on the first boss, so I can't say anything about endgame, but there's a lot to do, and even though most RPGs will have some repetition, it hasn't seemed monotonous. I can play it without a data connection, which is a huge plus for me. However, I'm not giving it 5 stars because some of the menus are a little hard to navigate. Also, the tips they give flash so quickly they're hard to read, and some things aren't explained very well (like how the fairy works). The negatives are minor, though, so don't let them turn you away from a great app. Just don't expect it to be a perfect game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game, but old UI April 13, 2011

Played zenonia 1 for ios on my old ipod, loved it. got the sequel for free on amazon. Still a great game, but the ios version got a revamped interface. Android version did not get this special treatment. runs fine on my htc mecha. Looking forward to the third game, hoping the devs update the UI for android.
