Product Description
Easy gameplay with onscreen D-pad

Where can you fight dragons and demons, converse with princesses, and explore medieval worlds simultaneously? Zenonia--Gamevil's real-time combat and exploration game--that's where. Awarded Best Adventure/RPG Game from The Pocket Gamer Awards 2010, Zenonia follows Regret, the game's protagonist, while he attempts to uncover the circumstances surrounding his adoptive father's death at the hands of a demon. Your job is to ensure Regret finds the information he's looking for while looking out for his well-being and overall health. With upwards of 40 hours of gameplay, Zenonia's epic storytelling is bound to lock you in and keep you entertained.

Choose character type--Paladin, Warrior, Assassin
Traditional Gameplay

Reminiscent of Super Nintendo games of yesteryear, you control Regret's movements with the use of an on-screen D-pad, which is located in the lower left corner of the screen. Push the Attack/Confirm button to initiate conversation and fighting.

Regret is a young man whose origins are unknown. Stuck in the town of Ayles, Regret must find and destroy his adoptive father's murderer without being killed himself. Before the game begins, you can choose from three different character types: Paladin, Warrior, or Assassin. The paladin controls the elements of earth and dominates opponents with magic. And the warrior has courage and strength, while the assassin is as swift as the wind, silent as a shadow. All three character types boast different fighting styles, altering the way the game is played, and each presents different challenges.

Regret's in-game appearance changes based upon his weapon and armor set. Don't forget to feed Regret when you can. If his SP or HP meter drops too low he won't perform well. Occasionally, Regret becomes overweight--either he has eaten too much or he is carrying too many heavy items. When this happens, you have the option to relieve him of certain items to lessen his burden.

Keeps track of current side quests
Side Quests

There are many side quests you can choose to complete in order to further explore the world and increase your points. When you successfully complete a side quest, you receive a combination of Experience, Reward, Completion, and Apple points. Types of side quests you can expect to see are: visiting or running errands for people in town, delivering or collecting goods for people, and killing slimes, bees, and lobsters.

Game Features
  • Skill tree system with 8 active, 8 passive, and 1 ultimate skill
  • With 5 item classes: Normal, Magic, Rare, Unique, and Epic
  • Good and evil decision tree with a different storyline depending on the path you choose
  • Day/night cycle, hunger, and weight system that reflects reality
  • Dynamic movements with double-tap dashing optimized with an onscreen D-pad

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING March 22, 2011
If you're into Zelda style RPGs (button mashing item collecting dungeon spelunking madness) then you'll like Zenonia. It's got an interesting story line with awesome graphics great music and an intuitive interface that barely gets old. There is a lot of reading in this game that does get a bit tedious... but that's EVERY good RPG. Any GOOD RPG is about the story.. and what good is a story without dialog. I haven't completed the game yet but so far from what I've played it will be enjoyable to any faithful RPG player.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok April 20, 2012

This game is good but the thing that I don't like and I'm sure other people would agree with me is the when it cones to the controls sometimes don't respond espacially the map and your item bag it takes more than twenty or more taps to the screen and sometimes it still doesn't open. Overall good game but would be way better if the controls where fixed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pace and Dialog are Problems December 18, 2011
By K. Jack

The mechanics of this game are good, though depending on what device you play it on, the controls may be a bit awkward. A larger screen like the Kindle Fire is difficult to play on because of the D pad's large size.

Apart from that, this game suffers from very bad pacing and dialog. It has an eextremely rushed feel to it, and you never get the chance to empathize with the main character. The first scene is a perfect example of that. The game will not give you a moment to slow down and absorb what's going on, and it makes the characters a lot less believable. For example, at the start of the game, the main character's father figure dies. However, with the way the character's dialog is written, you would not believe for a moment that he ever even thought of that fact. He's actually quite cheerful much of the time.

This game had a very good programming staff, but it needed better writers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgic March 24, 2011
Game is great, worth the money. It definitely is nostalgic to say the least. Controls are a little strange to get used to at first, doesn't exactly take advantage of the touch screen. You get used to it though, and only real complaint would be the typical rpg-style game where grinding is clearly necessary to move on in the game. That didn't get annoying til closer to the end of the game for me though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome rpg that begins an epic series! February 24, 2012
Zenonia is simply a great rpg on Android giving the feel of Link. Very addictive and time consuming this tale is very deep and engrossing. Then on top of it all there are 3 more sequels after it, each getting better with the story and graphics. Trust me I know fantasy and Gamevil has got there heads in the right spot. There needs to be more deep rpgs on droids!

2.0 out of 5 stars Can't save to SD card, lots of backtracking April 24, 2011
Can't save to SD card, extreme amounts of backtracking, a lot of level grinding and unbalanced enemies seriously soured the experience for me. Not being able to save to SD card is unforgivable. It's sickening that I had to lose my game save after so many hours of tedious grinding and obnoxious backtracking when my phone died.

I picked up this game on my kindle fire and I'm loving it. I was a little skeptical about the on screen spar but it actually works quite well. the game itself has a good story along with deep and varied combat. cant wait to try out the second one.

1.0 out of 5 stars if you have a Kindle HDX, STAY AWAY.
The game's dialog is awful. So many spelling errors. And the controls, outside of movement, and attacking, DO NOT WORK. Couldn't use potions, level up. Nothing.

I pumped so many hours into this game on my iphone. I am a big video gamer and this is my favorite non-console rpg of all time. Gamevil has really created a great series of RPGs.
