Product Description

The "BONE COLLECTOR" .177 and .22 caliber air rifles. These air rifles are specially designed in collaboration with Michael Waddell and Travis “T Bone” Turner of the "BONE COLLECTOR" TV series. Each gun is built on a special hunter forest green composite stock with dark grey rubber grip inserts. The "Bone Collector" logo is prominently shown on both sides of the synthetic high-grade stock. Both models utilize the advanced Gamo G1000 spring piston power plant which drives the new .177 cal. Platinum Ballistic Alloy PBA hunting rounds at up to 1250 fps. Each Single Cocking System, Spring Piston break barrel is fitted and tuned with the famous Gamo ND52 noise dampening system which reduces muzzle noise up to 52%. The special precision rifled steel barrels are composite jacketed to reduce weight and deliver tack-driving accuracy.

I went through 3 different rifles before I heard about the "bone collector" series. Great quality, accurate to 60yds, highly recommend this product. Easy to sight. Great for younger and older hunters alike.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. The only problem he has is with the scope. We have been trying to reach Gamo to find out how to replace it and we get no response. He has called them twice with no response.

This rifle is AWESOME! We gave it to our son for Christmas 2012. We have since shot hundreds of rounds through it. On Christmas day, my son went out on the porch and shot at his new targets and the look on my neighbors face as he heard the *CRACK* of the rifle was too funny! He peeked his head over and all I could do is say "SORRY!" The other reviews are correct. This thing is as loud as a .22. We purchased it believing it had some sort of silencer attachment that allowed it to be quieter, but this is NOT the case. We are still very pleased with the purchase. I'm not sure why the price is so high now. $329? We paid $184. Maybe they were priced wrong. We went to Bass Pro shops during Christmas and I used my smartphone to check prices. At the time, Amazon had the lowest price by over $100. The going rate at Bass Pro Shops and area stores was about what Amazon is charging now. Maybe we caught them at a great time, but it makes our purchase even more appealing!

I grabbed this air rifle out of the box without the scope mounted, mounted it and was shooting tight groups one inch low at 20 yds. adjusted and dead on from then. Impressed...simply impressed

I purchased this rifle a few days ago and was immediately disappointed upon taking it out of the box. The craftsmanship in the molding of the plastic body was terrible, with rough seams and poorly fitted plastic inserts. The rifle has a steal receiver, but the rest of it is all plastic. The trigger guard is plastic and the trigger and "safety" are plastic. The trigger has a lot of "take up" in its movement - despite it claiming to have a "competition trigger" (perhaps if the competition is for crappiest trigger system). The scope provided fits into very shallow groves milled into the top of the receiver. The scope has to be mounted in a fixed positioned along this rail and allows for little to no adjustment for eye relief. In addition, the groves are so shallow, I can only imagine it would take very little to knock it loose during time in the field. The scope itself is - yup, you guessed it, Plastic! and If I were to keep this gun, which I am not, I would discard it immediately. Accuracy was the one area where the gun was average - thus the 2 stars. at 30 yards, it held a solid 2" group. Overall, I would say, unless you are looking for something to shoot tin cans with and really dont care about quality, keep looking!

I bought this rare rifle on impulse because of how cool it looks and the fact that Gamo is a very well known brand. in the past I've purchased several break action pellet rifles. they all seem to be hit n miss. the Bone Collector however was very easy to sight in it took me about 15 minutes. a lot of people are complaining that the scope it comes with the rifle is not sufficient I beg to differ. it has definitely served it's purpose does far with me. with weighted lead pellets this rifle would be easy to use in the city without disturbing neighbors. however I would refrain from using PBA pellets in a city setting as they travel faster than the speed of sound and resemble the sound from a 22. I personally live in the city and only use PBA pellets when in the woods hunting.

First off, This rifle is excellent. Next, you will read a lot of reviews saying how this rifle isn't quiet, or it sounds like a .22 rifle. First of all, when you first pull a well manufactured airgun out of the box, the mechanism and barrel will be well oiled. At the high pressures that are produced in the spring chamber and in the barrel, the oil will ignite for the first few shots letting off a loud crack. Second, any low weight non-lead pellets put through this rifle will go supersonic, including the PBA rounds that come with it. When the pellet breaks the sound barrier upon leaving the muzzle, this also makes a loud crack followed by a report. Once the rifle is broken in and you are firing lead pellets that are over 8.0 grains, this airgun is significantly quieter than comparable powered air rifles. I will say that the scope that comes with it is quite terrible.

Just like the other reviews, I love this rifle. It is dead-nuts accurate, hard-hitting, and fun to shoot. The fit and finish are really nice, with everything feeling smooth (trigger, safety, cocking). I haven't shot it in the evening, but mine came with an illuminated-reticle scope that seems OK.

The silencer, in my opinion, works VERY well with standard lead pellets, and even reduces the noise greatly with alloy pellets. I have another rifle, around the same price and nowhere NEAR the quality, same caliber pellet, which sounds like my .22 LR, seriously loud if you're in a neighborhood. The Bone Collector is quiet, and doesn't get anyone riled up. I have heard about some silencer problems with the earlier ones, but mine seems to work great.

The only thing I have to complain about on this rifle is that it doesn't have sling mounts. Yes, it's an air rifle, but being the fancy "Bone Collector" edition, why not spend a couple extra bucks and provide these? That made no sense to me. However, it's very minor, and there are lots of other home runs with this gun to make up for it.

Great air rifle.
