Does the job, but I'm replacing the one that came with my nuiv with the same item. The first one broke at the hinge and the gps would keep falling off. At the same time I bought this one I bought 2 holder that attach to the vent (they are very inexpensive compared to this), and I like those so much more. First, they are well within reach when your driving. (I try to only update it when I'm stopped) Second, they don't fall off the window in temperature extremes (cold or hot). The vent holders are legal in CA, but so is pot. They don't leave the suction cup mark on you window so everyone knows you have a gps in the car. I can't think of any advantage the suction cup has over the vent mounts.

Bought two of these for the price of one from Garmin directly -- arrived in 3 days with super saver shipping option. Couldn't have asked for a better service!

The ball-mount hinge broke away from the suction cup piece on my old one after 3 years of use. This $12 replacement part snapped right back onto the Garmin charger mount and I'm back in business with no complaints!

The adjustable clip attached to the suction cup of our Garmin Nuvi 360 broke. I was hoping not to have to replace the charger and suction cup. It turns out the piece I needed sells seperately. We had the new piece in less than a week from when it broke. It was easy to install and is back to new again.

This one does the job.. but if the temp changes a lot then the suction tends to loose and the gps falls... which lucky for us hasn't damaged it at all. We do have this still and will use it on occasion (when traveling to take up less space) but find the bean bag to be much better!

Easy to operate, fits well. Initially I was afraid if it work. No regrets.

I received the suction mount with my Garmin Nuvi. In general I really like it. But I have had problems. It seems to loose suction with temperature changes. I also use my Nuvi with rental cars and when I used it in Arizona the rubber partially stuck to the windshield when I removed the suction mount. So now my suction mount looses suction frequently. I was about to purchase a replacement when I noticed the large beanbag friction mount. I'm going to give this a try. The original suction cup mount for my GPS broke. This is a exact replacement. This product was hard to find in the local stores (Target, best Buy, Wal Mart etc) but AMAZON had it.

The one that came with my Garmin broke this served as a great replacement. It suctions well and moves seems like the one out the box. So lets see how long it last so far (5months in) has been good.

The product replaced an identical setup that I left on the windshield and suffered deterioration by the sun and heat. Lesson learned is to not leave the suction cup attached to the windshield for prolonged exposure to the sun and heat.
