My office purchased the CombBind C210E to replace an old Ibico Ibimatic. It has held up well under light use and I have to say it this electric model is superior to the manual Ibimatic in all but 3 ways. It is more ergonomic and easy to use, and you can open a spine in the comb while the paper is still in the punch area without trapping it there. The one touch punch is a real arm saver, though it seems to struggle a bit to punch the maximum of 20 20lb. sheets. The sliding front area makes choosing between letter size and cover size sheets a snap.
Where it falls short is in build quality. The C210E is mainly plastic and has the motor which seems like it may fail one day. The Ibimatic is 90% sturdy metal and has no need of a motor or electricity to operate. The cord of the C210E seems a bit short as well, necessitating either an extension cord or placement near an available outlet. Lastly, the arm that opens the comb binders is rather small and still, making it slightly difficult to operate. The large arm of the Ibimatic had no such issue.
Even with those slight drawbacks, I'm very happy with the electric convenience of the C210E. I would estimate that I'm about 150% as productive with the new unit. Let's hope it lasts!
