This is an awesome product...we use it at our church and big school. It heats up quickly....does an excellent laminating job...and is easy to transport wherever you want to use it.

I didn't have a lot of issues initially, but after a while things started jamming inside the laminator. I currently have something stuck in there that I can not for the life of me get out!!! There is no way to take the machine apart, the company is no help, the rollers stick, there is no manual way to reverse and get items out...it's just plain...STUCK.

The laminations are smooth with no bubbles or ripples. The temperature dial marks where to set the temperature for your laminate thickness so there is no guess work. My laminate stock was 3 ml so this review is based on that stock. The 3ml 11 x 17 maps I laminated came out very professional and only mildly warm to the touch. I highly recommend this device for the average home office or moderate volumn business. For the price, you can't beat it.

I've had my GBC Heatseal H400 for over 3 years now and the only jams I've had were due to operator error (another way of saying "I messed up"). This laminator has been used for long projects of 60 to 100 pages for work to a quick heat up and laminate for one page for quick needs.

There's a setting for the thickness lamination you are using and I suppose there are fancier items out there. My glowing review is contributed to by the purchase price which was under $100.00, but for $300.00 I'd want a little more out of a machine maybe one that was a little faster, had an autofeed and could completely spit out laminated pockets.

I've had no problems with any heatsealed items, no bubbles, no inadequate seals, and the seal has always held. The jam release has worked great when I've made an error such as letting the lamination stick out of the lamination pocket which caused the item to get stuck. It's had some steady use and then some breaks from use but it always comes through.

This machine is a piece, anything laminated over 3mil comes out with ripples and the rollers fall off track. I'm not sure about there other products but for $250 there has to be something better!

We bought the most expensive, high end laminator this company makes, and have had trouble since day 1. GBC itself has no customer support system at all, instead they refer you to the closest seller (in our case 4 hours away). Since we've not received good service from the seller, we've asked GBC for an alternate, which they were unable to provide - they literally have no idea who carries their products! This is incredible to me - so I have to say their customer service is nonexistent - pretty sad.....

It was a steal. I checked many stores but Amazon was the cheapest & honest one of all... As they said 3-7 days for delivery, I was surprised that it came in 5 days.. I will differently be doing business with Amazon.
