Forty-channel auto-scan automatically picks out the clearest available channel, and a 40-name-and-number memory (with two 10-digit entries) lets you store frequently called numbers.

A speakerphone provides hands-free operation, and a two-way page and intercom mean that you never have to worry about misplacing the phone. A voicemail indicator notifies you when you've received a message, and a forward-reverse call review function lets you easily scroll though and delete voicemail.

The 27936GE3 comes with caller ID and Type II call waiting compatibility, letting you avoid pesky telemarketers, bill collectors, and anyone else you would rather not talk to. Backlit keypads and LCD screens on both base and handset are easy to read, even in the dark. A visual ring indicator on the antenna alerts you to incoming calls even if the ringer is turned off.

My husband and I paid 70$ for this phone and it is the worst investment we have ever had! Even though it has several channels to change from, there is still severe crackling and you can not hear the caller very well. I am ready to throw the darn thing out the window, but because it's my only phone, I have to live with it until we get a new one. The first month with it was ok then it started in with the static and crackling. I would never recommend this phone!

Phone works well. 3 kids in house so it gets abused but has held up well. Answering machine is easy for wife to use. Volume buttons are easy to change accidentaly, wish these were in a different location. The antenna flashes when the phone rings, great when watching tv or listening to cd's. I would buy this phone again.

This is the worst cordless/speaker phone that I have ever owned. It was tough getting the handset to sit just right in the cradle so that the handset would charge. Battery life was the pits. Bought another battery thinking that would make a difference. It didn't and was just a further waste of cash. The unit is now just a paperweight on my desk. If you just need a speaker phone, it will work fine but I bet you could find something better for less.
