Having a compact combination clock radio and cordless phone together is a GREAT idea and this GE model certainly looks very nice sitting on the nightstand. The handset feels nicely ergonomic and lightweight, with lighted buttons and display, handy for night time calls, although situating it on the base can be a bit unwieldy due to it only going back in one direction. The radio station preset buttons are a nice touch although pushing on the smaller buttons tends to make the whole unit move. This phone has a really oddball ringtone, kind've a slow, alternating two pitch sound, weird. It has a handy red LED that flickers to let you know you've received a call when your out and the caller ID displayed on both the handset and base is a nice feature. Now to the absolute deal breaker on this phone....the base unit's LCD display. On the highest setting, this thing is so bright it could steer a ship in from the fog! It's like nightlight on steroids, not something you want 10 inches from your head at night lol...there are 3 dimmer settings, the next lowest is better, but still way too bright especially if light bothers you at night, as it does me...the lowest setting is nearly tolerable, but then the numbers and text are so dim you have to squint to see them unless your really close to it. Even on the lowest setting, I have to prop the manual up in front of the display to keep the light out! LCD background light is just not a good idea for a bedside display. If they'd skipped the hip looking blue background lighting, and just used blue, green or red LED's for the numbers and text, this would be so much more practical.

I read all the reviews on Amazon before choosing this particular phone/clock. Previously I had a ge bedroom phone/clock that recently was struck by lightening so I had to find a replacement. I didn't really want a radio alarm but there was no other choice. Many previous reviewers didn't like the brightness of the led face on this clock but it has 3 dimmer settings that are great. True - if you don't dim it down it lights the room up at night but on the dimmest setting you can still see the clock in the dark. I didn't have a cordless phone before and I'm really liking that feature. The phone itself is very clear to talk on. All in all I'm very happy with my choice here - I would definitly recommend it.

This item is terrible for the bedroom! It lights up the whole bedroom unless you turn the blue background down and then you can't even see the numbers. It is also very difficult to set the alarm, radio station for the alarm, etc. Not user friendly at all! We will be moving it to a bedroom that is not used. Money wasted.

I bought this phone a little worried because I didn't know if it would really work in my country, Colombia. I was very positively surprised when I first connected it after the first charge and worked outstandingly! It is really practical, very well designed and has an astonishing very good sound quality, perhaps due to the 2.4 GHz frequency which is supposed to provide interruprion-free calls. Despite what some other reviewers tell about it, I find the blue light no so much disturbing; it's just a tiny detail to get worried about.

I definitively recommend it! I give it a five stars rate!

The battery backup feature is good until your battery runs low. You cannot use it with just the adapter, the clock goes out of sync. The alarm went off at 3:30AM for a 7:00AM wakeup setting, thus prompting this review. It has 2 alarms, allowing you for 2 different time settings. For the first 3 months, you can turn off the alarm on the weekend, but soon, that option became unavailable since it won't take that command anymore. So, I've learned to readjust my timer to maybe 9AM on the weekend, which is no big deal. But for it not to be operable on the adapter alone is baffling to me. Also, the blue display can be a bit bright at night. If you dim it down for sleep, you'll have to readjust during the day or you won't be able to read the time.

This phone is really hard to program but the clock is easy to read and the radio has really good sound and reception.

The handset has menu buttons on the palm side of you had when you pick it up and more then once I have disconnected the caller when the lights were out.

Overall - it's nice to look at.

This is a pretty nice product. Easy to use and set up.

I would recomnend it.
