5.0 out of 5 stars Magic Jack Compatible, April 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: GE 28021EE3 Digital Cordless Telephone with Call Waiting Caller ID (3 handsets) (Office Product)
I am writing this review for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that the picture provided on the front page is the model with answering machine. The model that you will be receiving is the model without the answering machine. I have uploaded a picture of that model.

The second reason is I was looking for a phone that would be compatible with my Magic Jack Phone Line. This is the best sounding phone I have used with the Magic Jack service. I have tried several other brands and this one seems to work the best the sound quality is much better then the others. Since the magic Jack system offers free voicemail I didn't need the model with the answering machine. If you don't care about 200 memories and a hundred ring tones than this is the phone for you. It has all of the basic features and since it is a 5.8 system you will not pick up interference from most wireless computer systems.

I am completely satisfied with this phone and its sound quality. I highly recommend it.

I hope this information helps others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good phone with basic features, June 15, 2007

After trying unsuccesfully to use a number of phones in our house (including some high-end Panasonic models), this phone has worked out very well for us. The sound quality is good, and it has enough features on it to make it a good, reliable home phone.

It has a ton of ringtones to choose from, and lots of ways to assign specific ringtones to specific callers.

My only complaint is that the * key is the same as the "End" key. So when you are trying to store a number in memory, if you have to push * during the sequence (like when you access voicemail), you can't do it. It ends the memory sequence and quits to the menu. Annoying, but not impossible to live with.

This is a good phone with basic features, and one of the few reliable models out there that does NOT have an answering machine (since we use voicemail). Not a bad price, either.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice set, March 8, 2007

I did alot of investigating before buying the set. I have no complaints, the range is good, speakerphone is great, clarity is very good. Batteries last quite a while.

It may have it but I'm not sure, I wish it had a light to show that there was missed calls.
All in all a great set, nice not to have to have a answering machine when I didn't need one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great at the beginning, ONLY, June 21, 2011

This review is from: GE 28021EE3 Digital Cordless Telephone with Call Waiting Caller ID (3 handsets) (Office Product)
I purchased this phone in February of 2010 and at first, worked excellent. Range was good, operated on a different frequency than my wireless network at home so no interference. The 3-way conference calling via the handsets proved priceless. Then....I moved to a new apartment and had to disconnect everything. Took me about a month to get my phone service back up. I charged the batteries for a full day when my phone service was restored, but alas! proved useless. Batteries won't last past 5 minutes during a conversation. At times, even shorter than that, the battery will just beep, give you a "searching" message and cut off or a low battery beep and cut off. Even when fully charged, and that is, leaving it charged for days on end, the display is garbled, meaning, the letters don't show in full.

Caller ID and everything else works, but what good is a phone when it can't even stay off the base for 15 minutes before giving you a battery low message? Now I'm forced to go searching for replacement batteries.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very dissapointing, May 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: GE 28021EE3 Digital Cordless Telephone with Call Waiting Caller ID (3 handsets) (Office Product)
The phone displays do not have a clear display. The numbers and letters appear broken up. The batteries that came with the phone were already too old to work. So the phones did not charge. And when contacting the manufacturer thru Amazon...I did not get a response. All in all...I baught the phones as a gift cause I own the same ones and love mine but the ones sent thru Amazon were very poor. Didnt meet the new phone standard.

I bought the model as pictured, not from this website. It works well, but it's hard to hear using the normal mode. I actually bought it specifically for the plug in hands free thing, and that seems to me to be unusable. I haven't had the other problems mentioned. The intercom works.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective display, December 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: GE 28021EE3 Digital Cordless Telephone with Call Waiting Caller ID (3 handsets) (Office Product)
I should have listened to the multiple other reviews that said this item has a defective display-shows either only a few dots or none at all, right out of the box. Unusable. I thought that was just a few isolated cases, but all 3 of the units I bought have this issue, just like many others said.
It only seems like a good deal because the merchandise is defective. Waiting for the vendor to return my money. I thought I could trust the GE brand- but please, save yourself the hassle- DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.
