4.0 out of 5 stars Great, with one problem
The phones are as advertised; they are clear as can be, I can walk outside and (except maybe for some wind noise) the person on the other end of the conversation would not know. However, most of the time (but not all the time), if I am on a call and a second call comes in through call waiting, the phone automatically hangs up on the first call and takes the second. I...

2.0 out of 5 stars Would be a great phone if it did not Auto-Disconnect

The plus side: Great range, clear calls, excellent speakerphone, easy to use and set up, answering machine works fine.

2.0 out of 5 stars Would be a great phone if it did not Auto-Disconnect, January 12, 2009
I purchased this product from another retailer at a great price, and was happy for only a short while.

The plus side: Great range, clear calls, excellent speakerphone, easy to use and set up, answering machine works fine.

The very bad: As other reviews on the internet have stated, this phone appears to have in inherent issue of losing connection with the base randomly and quite frequently. What does this mean? When you press the TALK button, it randomly might sound like a fax is transmitting, or there may be no dial tone at all. To fix, you must bring the phone to the base station, and use its menus to reestablish a connection. Not bad if the phone is near the base. A major pain if the phone is in a remote room. Also, when the phones are "disconnected" they will not ring, although the answering machine will pick up.

I had read the other reviews and figured it may be a random glitch that only happens to a few units. After my experience and troubleshooting, it seems the issue may affect all phones in this line.

BEWARE!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Phone System, November 16, 2008
By
Handsets were constantly having to search and reconnect to the base station (even in the middle of calls). Very unreliable. Some of the features were cool - i.e. listening to messages from any of the phones, but that does outweigh all of the bad.

I have no choice in the matter. I have read the instruction manual and cannot figure out why this happens.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buying new phones in less than a year!, August 26, 2009
This review is from: GE Phones 28223EE3 DECT 6.0 3 Handset Cordless Expandable System with Caller ID/Answering Device (Silver) (Office Product)
I purchased my GE 28223EE3 Dect 6.0 and expanded up to 6 phones. The phones constantly drop the signal and cannot connect to the base unit - even the phone on the base unit. There are times that I cannot get a phone signal without having to go to the base unit and re-initalizing my phone.

This is a horrible, horrible set of phones and I would warn everyone to stay away from GE. I have never been more dissatisfied in my life with any product.

I am finally breaking down and buying a different set of phones less than 1 year after purchasing these.

On the other hand - I don't know how I ever lived without GOOG 411 before!!!!

The GE 28223EE3 works really fine and the "do not disturb button" is exactly what i'm looking for which is missing in other brands of wireless phones plus it's got a built in answering machine. Overall it's a good phone.

This review is from: GE Phones 28223EE3 DECT 6.0 3 Handset Cordless Expandable System with Caller ID/Answering Device (Silver) (Office Product)
We bought these phones, and they have lasted less then a year. They Constantly search for one phone. Become staticy after so long and cant talk on them. The features are nice like google 411 and being able to listen to answer machine from any phone.
