The GE 74852 Dual-Wake AM/FM clock radio offers an oversized 1.4-inch green LED display as well as two independent alarms for his/hers or workday/weekend convenience. Both alarms have a snooze feature that pauses the alarm for nine minutes to allow extra sleep. The unit can be programmed to wake you with either the AM/FM radio or buzzer. Should the power fail, you can use a battery backup (not included) to allow continued operation of the unit, though an onboard time-hold capacitor will preserve the time setting during short failures or if you reposition the clock.

The AM/FM radio employs a slide-rule dial and automatic frequency control for FM tuning to reduce station drift. The clock includes two built-in antennas to improve reception quality and a 3-inch dynamic speaker. The clock's time-lock feature prevents unintended changes of time.

Included with the GE 74852 are a one-year limited warranty and an owner's manual.

Hi, Even though this clock has to settings for the brightness of the numbers, they are just so big they give off enough light that it fills the room. You can read by the light that this clock gives off! If you like to have it dark when you sleep- don't get this clock. The clock has never failed in many power outs, and always wakes me up on time but make sure you are ok for the light it will give off.

I know, I know... How good can a clock radio *really* be?

Well, this one is fantastic!

First off, if you read the reviews for the others sold on Amazon, people complain about the display being too bright. This one has two settings for the display. So, you can tone it down a bit if it is too bright.

Second: this unit actually has decent FM reception, good tuning, and pretty good sound.

In these times of less and less sleep, and with varying schedules, this clock fits the bill!

This clock radio has all the features I think most people look for in a clock radio. It has a giant display, but you can turn down the brightness if it will keep you up at night. In addition, the alarms work great (very easy to adjust the volume) with a conveniently located snooze button. I don't use the radio much, but everything else has been fantastic -- it's too big for a travel alarm clock, but works great on your nightstand!
