I don't understand how this item is so cheap, but I'm trying not to consider the possibilities as this item is perfect for charging my GPS and iPods in the car. Unfortunately, it couldn't charge the iPhone.

Does NOT Work as a car adapter
This product did not function for one bit. Although showed as charging, never gave any charge to my dying cell phone, despite multiple attempts and extended periods of charge.
