I have owned this dryer for several years now and it is still as good as the day I bought it. The drying time is at least 75% less than the one I replaced and my clothes seem to be staying in better shape. I love that it has the different drying cycles, especially that you can dry damp if necessary. I also have the matching washer and had them stacked at my previous residence and really loved that set up. The size is great too! I can load in a week's worth of whites and towels for two people with no problem.

I was very pleased with this dryer...until it broke this weekend! And my dryer is only 8 months old! The dryer will turn on for 1-2 minutes and then it completely shuts down the power and won't power back up until 5-10 minutes later. Thank goodness it is under warranty still otherwise an expensive repair bill would have been in my future!

I bought this exact model dryer from the local store and it has been working like a champ.

It seems to be built well, I guess time will tell regarding reliability. I anticipate no problems, but even if problem comes up I have a square trade warranty to keep me safe. :)

Bought a brand new house but builder only offered GE appliances- lucky me. I bought 6 of them and within 3 months 3 have broken. This dryer never heated and I fought GE for 1 month to replace it instead or repairing 5 major components in it, and now my microwave is steaming up inside the door because the inside coating of the door is peeling and my washer is gushing water from underneath. Stay away from GE appliances.
