They say it will match your existing system. It won't! After many calls to their help line, I gave up. Each time you call they gave you a different course of action. First they tell you it's not compatible. Then when you point out it should be, they tell you to send the whole system in for repair. Not willing to send in the other two handsets and base station for repair when they work. Plus I would be without a phone for who knows how long. Just don't buy it.

This handset works great and was surprisingly inexpensive. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I haven't had it very long, so I can't comment on its durability. It beeps rather loudly when placed in the charger, but otherwise, I can't think of any reason not to love this handset.

I am happy with my new phone. It was cheaper than the replacement batteries.
Although I am a Caribbean customer, the pone arrived very quickly and safely through my sky box.

I've seen the discouraging reviews of these phones and handsets. We carefully started with the base phone and two handsets, half expecting failure. But not so. They have worked fine for a couple months. And now we've added two extra handsets and they have begun to perform with no difficulty other than the challenge of following the directions to get them added to the system. Furthermore all the numbers on the buttons are of large enough size that they are useable by a person in his late eighties with a serious essential tremor. While we're not (yet?) using many features, the system performs without a flaw, over a wide area, and at a cost that is amazing.

Aleady, the Caller ID Button [CID] is losing its lettering. Moreover, the telephone tends to show the previous caller when the telephone rings, not the current caller. Adjustments to volume, etc. are tricky as well. I would not buy this product again, even with the telephone support provided, free of charge, by GE.

I purchased this item to go along with my system I purchased a few years ago. Suprised at how inexpensive it is and set was easy and compatible. This handset is not exactly the same as my previous ones, however it works even better. I am very pleased!!!

I bought one of these to go with the set that we got a few years ago. No problem getting it to work with the others. They all work well together for an inexpensive set. No complaints but some day we will go for a real office set of phones when the economy will pay for it. for right now we get about 25 calls a day on the 4 phones. the batteries last about 6 months to 1 year dependent upon use.

This is a great phone. I had the base and two others just like this but needed another for adult son's room. It works great and a super seller. I had trouble and he helped right away, this was my fault not the phone or sellers.

the phone looks great and its easy to use but the volume is not great even at its loudest.

At first I was under the impression that it would work in a stand-alone mode. That's not true. I missed reading a line in one of the review comments that it needs an additional GE base device to work. It is just an extension to the main one.

Apart from that battery life didn't sustain more than 3 months. Looked like it was an over-stock product. But I may be wrong. Cordless phone batteries last long if we use and keep them connected in charging mode. That's how the battery under its hood is designed. In other words, it seems like a new technology stuff but still with a life of prime days. Finally replaced the battery. Ready some guides on my particular model and hope it would last longer.
