Amazon.com

GE NightHawk Automotive Replacement Bulbs provide optimal illumination for safer driving after dark. These ultra-bright, street-legal bulbs ease the challenge of night driving by making it easier to see farther down the road. According to the National Safety Council, automotive related death rates are three times greater at night than during the day. With the NightHawk bulbs lighting the way, you'll drive safer and with greater confidence. And since these bulbs are just as easy to install as any other replacement bulb, you can reap the benefits of NightHawk's intelligent bulb technology within a few short minutes.

GE Nighthawk sport headlamps feature high performance, blue-white light, putting a whole new light on your driving experience.

NightHawk bulbs are designed for all drivers. Whether you're an automotive do-it-yourselfer looking to upgrade to the latest lighting technology, or a casual driver simply seeking the brightest GE bulbs available, the NightHawk delivers by putting more light on the road in areas where you need it the most. Using a robust filament and a refined, xenon gas composition, Nighthawk produces an average 30-percent more luminance than GE's standard original-equipment halogen bulbs. Plus, with the vast range of the NightHawk product line, 95-percent of cars and light trucks on the road today can benefit from GE's new bulb technology.

More and more time is spent in vehicles, both for business and pleasure, so brighter bulbs and better vision can make a big difference. If you're looking for more light, greater visibility at a distance, and improved driver confidence, then look no further than the GE NightHawk automotive replacement bulbs.

For the best night driving vision, first make sure your headlights are aimed properly. A good body shop can mechanically aim H6054 sealed beams.
Next check for voltage drop at the headlight connector, with the engine running, and the lights on. If there is less than 12.8v across the + and - of the low beam terminals put in a headlight relay harness. It's worth the upgrade. A good headlight isn't any good if it's not aimed correctly and not given enough voltage to bring it to full brightness.
Then put in a pair of GE NightHawk 6054NH. The low beams have an excellent, wide, even, foreground pattern with great, even, distance illumination ahead and to the right. There are no holes in the light they put down on the road in front of you. The low beams are plenty bright and well focused. The high beams are fantastic for rural, county roads.
I had Sylvania Standard, then Sylvania Xtra Vision. Both had a very poorly focused light pattern. Also, stay away from the cool looking blue lights if you want to see well at night. The blue bulbs filters out too much light. I am very satisfied with the Ge 6054NH.

GE H6054 NIGHTHAWK HeadLight Bulb.... WOW...Nice

I would have to say I agree with the claims of "Compared to GE standard bulbs, Nighthawk offer, on average, 39% additional brightness" and

"Better peripheral vision and the ability to see further ahead"

"Brighter view of night roads and in adverse weather conditions"

Nighttime driving is now much more fun and tolerable in my 1992 Chevy S-10.

Rainy are also much much nicer, no glaring.

No blue hues, no people flashing me to say I'm blinding them.

I will buy again.

I tried the high-intensity white lamps before. Yes, they are very bright. But as stated in some of the reviews of these lamps, they can be very short-lived. I found that to be the case. The Nighthawk is certainly brighter than the stock lamps. And, being GE, I expect good service life. And, as far as I can discern from the packaging, these lamps are domestically produced, not Chinese made--a definite plus. I clearly recommend this product, just do not expect them to be as bright as the high-intensity white variety.

These bulbs are noticeably brighter than my old bulbs. Installed easy, no issues there. Very happy with the quality.

These bulbs do a lot better at night than blue bulbs I tried, which seem to glare/scatter in the rain making visibility worse.

Next step could possibly be to upgrade the wiring going to the lighting.

Well worth the money!

Great price-performance on these sealed beam headlamps. I bought these nighthawks to replace a pair of GE Sealed Beam Halogen headlamps for a Toyota P/U 1992, which themselves were installed to replace the factory lamps about 6 years ago as part of standard maintenance. These NightHawks produced MUCH brighter and whiter light than my previous GE/Sylvania units, especially in the rain, where these new lamps create more visible reflections off wet pavement at a whiter spectrum. I was a tiny bit concerned that some reviewers were noting the power to be 55/60Watts Lo/Hi as opposed to the lower advertised value. But after the last couple of months driving and retesting battery, alternator, and inspecting for any issues with wiring and connectors, I haven't found any issues. Physically, the 3-prong connector sticks out a bit longer than factory or older GE/Sylvania Halogen standard headlamps. I had no clearance or installation issues, but it adds about 1 cm to the back, and the prongs may be exposed to more weathering if you have a shallow plug. Nothing a bit of heat shrink-tubing (find the largest size you can) won't fix. Really love the brightness and added visibility. In fact, I was concerned that my aiming might be too high, thus blinding oncoming drivers. So I loaded up the P/U bed with about 500 lbs to get a sense for back tilt and re-adjusted the beams down just a few degrees and inward a bit. I'll test these through the winter and if they hold up, I'm sure I'll be looking to replace my headlamps on other cars.

My Toyota pick-up always had these dim yellowish headlights, that reminded me of the old antique car lights that used a cadmium crystal candle lol! The installation was very quick, and i'm very happy, now I can see where i'm going finally! These headlights offer a unique side illumination feature, so they illuminate both sides of the road. I like the White light vs. those Blue ones that blind you from opposing traffic....(THOSE THINGS SHOULD BE OUTLAWED). These are Halogen White headlights, theyre about 45% brighter than the factory headlights my Toyota came with!

These headlights are the best I've ever tried on my older style pickup. I've only had them a month but they do an excellent job. On low beam I'm now able to see both lanes of the highway and when they're on high beam it seems like it's daylight out. They put out a clean white light, nothing comparable to the yellowish light of some. I highly recommend and will buy them again.

I replaced my original headlights with sylvania silverstars and they were brighter than the originals but didn't last that long. So i decided to give these a try and what i immediately noticed was that they have a superior beam pattern compared to the silverstars. Most people would be perfectly happy with the silverstars i believe, until they try the ge nighthawks. The problem with the silverstars, now that i see it , is that on low beam, they have a wide but extremely shallow beam pattern right in front of the car along with a narrow far reaching beam. If you were on the freeway , you might see two maybe three lanes worth down the road. The ge nighthawks on the other hand will light up all five lanes in a wide v pattern. If the freeway had ten lanes , they would light up all ten with all of the road lit up within this v pattern. Even with this wide v pattern, no oncoming driver has ever flashed their highbeams at me. The only question remains how long these will last. For those out there looking for headlights that are brighter than standard halogens , and last just as long, ge makes one called high output halogens . They aren't quite as bright as the nighthawks but have the same excellent beam pattern.
