My first true test actually surprised me. The upper burners reacted as I hoped and the ovens performed beautifully. The only problem was my fault, as the outside of the oven with the large windows and cool exterior drew my children to monitor the cooking constantly (think hopscotch while watching 3 pans).
It is very easy to clean and the stainless steel exterior resists fingerprints sufficiently. The center burner is very powerful and I turned it down for pancakes. A bonus is that all of the conversion nozzles to propane were included even though it did take me and my husband 3 hours to convert it from natural gas. Other nice features are the gas lockout and automatic oven lights.
Overall I love this range and would recommend it to any home chef that requires high performance.
I will start with the things I love about it. I love the center griddle. Mine is well seasoned and cranks out pancakes, grilled sandwiches, and eggs every single day. I love the large burner for boiling things quickly, and heating up large quantities of food in a reasonable time. My one, very minor beef with the cook top is that the burners get knocked off center when I wipe around them causing them to not ignite if I don't make sure they are sitting correctly.
I do not love the ovens. The top oven racks are set so that you either set it almost directly on the burner, which will cause pizzas to smoke. Or you set it on the center which is too shallow for a 9x13 pan. Pretty much it is only really useful for something flat on the center rack. It also has a manual knob to control the settings that doesn't let you know how close you are to your pre-set temperature. The top oven seems to take longer to pre-heat so I find myself wondering if I am close, or it is just really slow. The lower oven has definite cold spots. I know that convection ovens are not supposed to have hot and cold spots (and my last two didn't) but this one does. I just pulled out a cornbread that is raw in the middle and burnt on one side. I left a Jenn Air dual convection range in the previous house we lived in and was hoping this range would be comparable. After using it for one year, I am disappointed with the way the oven bakes.
I had read many, many reviews before I purchased this oven.Read more ›

I ordered a range which I received on the last day of the 4 day window that I was given. The delivery people were nice and set the appliance in the house as promised. Read morePublished on September 26, 2013 by Theresa Trebon
