We have used this GE Profile 28.5 cubic foot French Door Refrigerator with ice and water on the door for almost a year after a kitchen remodel. The refrigerator has a lot of space inside, with nice wide and deep shelves at eye level. The LED lights work great to light the space. There are some folding half shelves for taller items.

The pull out freezer on the bottom is like a large chest. There is also a smaller sliding drawer on top inside the freezer for frozen food boxes and smaller items.

The icemaker on the refrigerator door works great every day, though we use cubes instead of crushed ice...so the icemaker holds up. Also filtered water is dispensed.

Outside the stainless steel has a nice sheen/glow and it has a sculpted/curved look to the doors and handles. I hope the circuitry holds up over the years! This is by far the best refrigerator we've ever owned.

We bought ours from our local appliance store. I am told all refrigerator/freezers that are half way decent have mother boards. Do they go out? Yes unfortunately like a computer "who knew ?" generally not causing the entire refrigerator to shut down. Just be careful where you buy because you will want a warranty. At least 5 years. Big box stores warranty are usually contracted out. Do your self a favor and check the warranty reputation. Our last refrigerator came from a big box store. They contracted the service out. The warranty company was no fun to deal with.

Amazon I believe deserves a good review for this unit.

Mine, and two of my friends have the same fridge and have had the same problem. After 3 1/2 to 4 years, the motherboard goes and it's $660 to repair. The extended warrenty is $500.
