I just installed this stove in my home on 3/29/2008. Over the weekend we tried every function we could think of. We baked we Convection baked we tried the lower oven and every burner We even used the griddle. This is a fine piece of equipment. There are two complaints which is why the 4 stars.
1. The stove had a small dent on the left side I noticed right away. This dent is low and when slid in is not noticeable. I called Home Depot right away and they said they will credit us $50. I was hoping for a little more but ...the thought of loading it back up and waiting for a new one wasn't worth it. I also after getting it all installed and in place noticed a small indentation on the front behind the handle. This looked like a factory problem but what can I do?

2. The knobs get hot when baking!!! The front panel around the knobs get hot!!! Maybe enough to burn a small child.

I have had this range for a few weeks and am quite satisfied with it. I do not find it difficult to keep clean. However, the glass touch controls always seem to have fingerprints, and you must shut down the panel to clean it without engaging all the functions. To power boil, the burner requires a 12" or larger pan. After purchasing, I read that it takes approximately one half hour to heat up the small lower oven. What? I thought it would be great for a small dish, but it certainly is not a time saver. Eventually I will use it when I need the space, or for warming. I do love the griddle and find it works very well. I'm just getting used to the convection baking. It is terrific to be able to put in three cookie sheets of Christmas cookies at once with even baking or three pizzas, etc. My Thanksgiving turkey convection roasted to a nice golden brown and was very juicy. My biggest problem was finding that the delivery men did not pull off all of the plastic protective covering from the surface. We had to take screws loose from the back of the range top to release this strip of plastic. If I hadn't noticed it before I first used the oven, the heat from the oven would have melted it and caused a big mess with fumes. The oven will indeed smell dreadful the first time you bake with it regardless (mentioned in manual). Allow for ventilation that day! Although the panel behind the control knobs gets pretty warm, I haven't found it to be a problem, but I agree you might need to use caution with little ones. I haven't broiled anything yet and am looking forward to that. All in all, I made just the right choice for me and am very pleased.

I bought this range five years ago through home depot. Initially the convection didn't work and service was called (thank god for the service contract). They fixed it but it broke again and was finally replaced. I recently used the self clean on it and it melted all the burner knobs which look like stainless steel but are actually plastic. Can you believe it cost $20 dollars for one new plastic knob? Middle burner is useless. I wouldn't recommend. I'm sure there are better ranges to spend your money on.
