Very slow to reach full luminosity,

I've been using CFL's for four years in several houses, but had not replaced floods with CFL's until I bought these. I'm accustomed to instant-on CFL's (except for the GE's which noticeably aren't.) These floods take a little over a second to turn on (measured.) That would be okay if they came on at full luminosity, but they don't. Instead they come on at about 50% with about half the bulb unlit. I just measured the time it takes for a string of six to reach full output: 45 seconds for the first bulb and a 1:45 for the last with the rest distributed throughout the range. The light given off is acceptable in hue...when it finally comes.

(This is a review of the product, not Amazon or Mr. Moto)
I fear some sleaze-bag lawyer will make a fortune on a class action lawsuit against GE on basis of these bulbs, and you and I will be offered a check for $1.50: I live in a 7 year old townhouse, with about 20 canister style lights throughout the house. 2-3 years ago, predictably, the original incandescent light bulbs started burning out, and I made the unfortunate mistake of replacing them with CFs, most of them the GE bulbs, since they were readily available at the Grocery store, Target and/or Home Depot (I honestly don't remember where I bought them, but it was NOT Amazon, nor Mr. Moto). I'm typing this after taking out yet another bulb. While it worked, for as short as it did (less than half the length of its incandescent predecessor) it was slow to turn on, and dimmer than advertised. Now it's in a pile along with 5 other CFs - ALL of which are GE FLE15s, waiting to be taken to some hazardous waste site. Cheaper OLEDs can't get here fast enough, in the meantime stay far away from this garbage.

slow to light but more importantly very poor life not near the 5 year guarantee in fact they don't last as long as traditional bulbs.
