They last fairly well in brackish water. They won't be shinny for long, but they will still function and work just fine for several years of use. Of all the metal traps (even the coated ones) I find that this are functional longer. They also are the tightest and most consistent closing metal traps that I have owned. I think that they are a great value when you can buy them at $10-$14.

This minnow trap is excellent, I will never purchase any wire coated minnow traps again. It will trap minnows and not let them escape. The wire coated traps are bad to rust out.

little more money than they other traps, but seems like it is built like the old solid traps. This trap seems rugged, construction is solid. Shipping was quick and it was packaged better than excellent. Would buy more.
