5.0 out of 5 stars GG ALLIN IS GOD
Even if you are not a GG Allin fan I reccomend this. GG Allin was a dirty, no good, sadistic, dirty, sexual junkie. He sang for many bands. He made himself "known" with his onstage antics of defication, unrinating, raping and beating up his crowds while performing naked.

1.0 out of 5 stars G G Allin is most likely in hell
Jesus Christ is God, not this fool. Anybody who finds a "message" in this garbage is not only blind, but stupid beyond any measure. Apparently there are many who are going to join this guy in hell. Why anyone would listen to this garbage is beyond me. There is no question this guy either committed a sin unto death or was demon possessed. Too late for him now. Why...

5.0 out of 5 stars GG ALLIN IS GOD, July 8, 2004

Even if you are not a GG Allin fan I reccomend this. GG Allin was a dirty, no good, sadistic, dirty, sexual junkie. He sang for many bands. He made himself "known" with his onstage antics of defication, unrinating, raping and beating up his crowds while performing naked.

If you like gore films, punk rock, or a good laugh check this out. Watch GG Allin pee on his audience before knocking them out with his fist.

GG Allin died in 1993 from a heroin overdose ending his 17 year music career on a sour note for most fans. (He promised to commit suicide on Haloween).

Beware though his music was not very "radio friendly" or even lsitenable at times. Infact some of his live shows were nothing but noise. That's why I suggest watching a live concert rather than listening to a live GG Allin song.

I guarantee you will either laugh or gasp at his lack of a penis. haha

4.0 out of 5 stars ...GG's Mom Seems Like a Sweet Lady Though, July 10, 2006
This review is from: GG Allin & the Murder Junkies - Raw, Brutal, Rough & Bloody - Best of 1991 Live (DVD)
From the safety of your home you too can enjoy the howling, defecating freak show that is GG Allin. Since he literally pulls his live audience kicking and screaming into the pit of these nightmarish encounters, the distancing via TV is a no small advantage. Still you won't be all that protected. The rage of the man is visceral, self-directed and painfully honest.

Why bother then? Well, it is fascinating because of the commitment of GG, the band and audience. GG Allin is a necessary balance to the sin of Rock N' Roll giving itself a Hall of Fame.

I use DVDs mostly as a diversion while running on a treadmill, and frankly this is one of the best for making you forget time & pain. Can't imagine watching this while not moving though, for that it gets four stars.

Again. Not for the faint-hearted.

I feel very sorry for G.G. and hope he has found some peace. Unlike the previous reviewer, I do not wish he were dead, rather I wish he had gotten the help he really needed.

The title sums up the hardcore, naked, rude excess of GG Allin's fall `91 shows captured on this DVD. Some of the shows are for a very collegiate looking crowd and they seem as accepting and into it as the punks, which is interesting. However, there is much like this out on the market and what is most interesting here is the first ever interview with GG Allin's mother. She is proud of her boys and very candid about their early years. The interview breaks up the concert footage and is presented in a more complete form as bonus material.

5.0 out of 5 stars The true king of rock&roll excess, October 4, 2004
This review is from: GG Allin & the Murder Junkies - Raw, Brutal, Rough & Bloody - Best of 1991 Live (DVD)
If you think you have seen it all, you haven't. My advice to you is watch this and share it with everyone. One of two things will happen, one you will be offened beyond words and will feel the need to take a shower after watching this or two you will become a fan and show it to everyone. This is not an act, it is real and every show was like this or worse. like GG Allin said once" My mind's a machine gun, my body is the bullets and the adudence is the target. after you watch this get hated the first film by Todd Philips(road trip, old school) and go beyond your nastiest dreams.

5.0 out of 5 stars FULL ON ROCK&ROLL, February 4, 2005

At first I was skeptical, now I'm a believer. Look,I love R&R and I know a lot about it and I know how to play it and I know how to write it. I could hold my own with Keith Richards and Pete Townshend all night and I'm telling you G.G. Allin is good rock & roll. I gave this 5 stars because it represents the man in full ass skanking face ripping flight. Watch as the feces fly and the urine flows. Watch intellectual art-turds get punched in the face and slumming debutantes start to cry as G.G lays down the rock and offers up the communion. Some of the riffs are HEAVY AS HELL.The version of "Die When You Die" in the first concert (there are three)is retarded heavy like Stuka dive bombers as is "Bite It You Scum" from the same show. The second concert from Chicago is a blood and excrement covered love-in which transcends rock & roll and enters in to the realms of the Roman emperors. And you want to know something else? Its funny as hell. Eddie Murphy Raw era funny. Howard Stern funny. Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer funny. Oh, and its got an interview with G.G.'s mom too. If you are just getting in to G.G., get Hated first otherwise this is a must have addition for music lovers of all tastes. Great Mother's Day gift.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's a damn shame, October 1, 2006
This review is from: GG Allin & the Murder Junkies - Raw, Brutal, Rough & Bloody - Best of 1991 Live (DVD)
The existence of someone like GG Allin is almost necessary at times. His mission makes us think about society and most of all government on how it imposes its will upon us trying to conform our lives into a "one size fits all" category. Right? Probably not!
It really isnt necessary to be exposed to rape, violence, mutilation and defecation to become a stronger person. That's what GG Allin believed and he had no choice but to believe that because he was a product of his environment. So instead of worship, I can't help but to feel great pity for his existence.
Everybody comes from different backgrounds and he really was just as bad as any government because he was using his shows to impose his will on others as well.
Lets all keep in mind that GG Allin was the way he was because of how he was raised & his lack of talent. And I would be that pissed off at the world too if I had as small as the size penis he had. When I saw that (or barely saw that), I said to myself "oh that's what this is all about."
GG Allin couldn't fight to save his life. His environment that he surrounded himself in, was psuedo tough. Most punk rockers are just that, psuedo tough.
Any person with any skill would of destroyed GG Alin within seconds when attacked by him.
I am glad he's dead. The world is a better place without him. If you any kind of self-esteem, you will realize that the existence of characters like GG Allin isn't really necessary to become a stronger person. Take initiative and be a stronger person on your own terms.
If you want shock value that can be backed up by talent, stick with MIke Patton
