5.0 out of 5 stars Protector as described! Very pleased.
The LCD protector is exactly as it is described. We have the new Canon T2i and we were afraid of scratching the LCD screen. Especially when you have it hanging around your neck and it is bouncing and rubbing off your shirt as you walk. We did not want another peel and stick film so we did some research and this product was the solution we were looking for...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too small for Canon T2i
The cover is perfect in quality (not soft plastic like others) but it was too small to cover the entire LCD panel of my Canon T2i. I didn't use it because it will be centered on the panel. I was so disappointed!!

The LCD protector is exactly as it is described. We have the new Canon T2i and we were afraid of scratching the LCD screen. Especially when you have it hanging around your neck and it is bouncing and rubbing off your shirt as you walk. We did not want another peel and stick film so we did some research and this product was the solution we were looking for.

Very easy to place on the screen. Just follow the instructions. Once on, you cannot even tell that it is there. The only thing is that the Canon logo gets covered up by the GGS logo. I really don't care.

The images/menu still appear as crisp and clean as if the screen protector was not even on it. We also noticed that when you use the camera, there is some more resistance to smoodgies (is that an official term?) from when you press your face against it.

Bottom line: If you have the Canon T2i and you want to protect your LCD screen, get this screen. I don't think you will regret it.

If you have a Canon T2i, this is a must-have accessory to protect the large monitor from scratches and facial oil, makeup, etc, when using the T2i viewfinder.
It is made of high quality glass and fits perfectly over the T2i monitor. It's easy to apply; all you have to do is carefully line up the top two corners and then lay it down and press the perimeter edges firmly in place.
And, it looks very good on the camera too. Once it's in place, it looks like an integral part of the camera, and it's easy to keep clean.
I'm very pleased with it and highly recommend it for the T2i, and highly recommend protective glass covers for all camera monitors.

5.0 out of 5 stars "new" product is pricey, but it's worth it, June 27, 2010

The hardened optical glass cover for the LCD on the Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i is more expensive than for quite a few other EOS models, but I attribute that to this being a "new" model. But in fact, the 550D LCD is a slightly different proportion (1:1.5) than preceding models so perhaps that made a difference in manufacturing costs. The unit I got (shipped via CamsDigital) was in perfect shape. If you follow the directions, make sure all surfaces are clean and dust free, and be patient and precise as you carefully position one corner of the glass, then carefully postion a second corner, then carefully lower the last two corners into place, and then gently but firmly press along the edges all the way around, you'll have a perfect fit in very little time. It would be shame to ruin the LCD of such a nice camera, and this glass cover is a very nice solution.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't be without it, July 3, 2010

Whenever I acquire a new Canon DSLR I automatically order this protective glass as soon as I can. I take care of my gear and try not to subject it to "knocks and bumps" but just feel a whole lot better about the LCD being protected from abrading by shirt buttons or whatever while hanging from the neckstrap.

Easy to install, easy to clean and interferes with NOTHING.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the Pick of the Litter, July 3, 2010

This is a really good screen, better than the film covers, particularly since it is easier to apply. It fits perfectly on the lcd of the Canon T2i. Please be very sure that you order this one, not the more expensive version, which comes with an attached eyepiece protector that I found impossible to use and finally threw away. I had to spend a lot of time putting the rubber rim back on; not the case with this version since it is just an lcd protector. I can't emphasize the difference enough. Nonetheless, this version is ideal. It's much easier to apply to the lcd because it is rigid and you can avoid touching the part of the screen that faces the lcd. Be sure you both clean and brush the lcd to reduce the likelihood of dust, dirt, or smudges.'

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect, June 4, 2010
This review is from: GGS DSLR LCD Optical Glass Screen Protector for Canon T2i (Electronics)
I just installed one of these today, it works as advertised and the fit is perfect. I ran into a minor issue, on the backside where the adhesive is, whatever type of plastic they use to cover it with initially has outgassed leaving a light haze on the inside of the glass. I can only see it when I am in very bright light and it might wipe right off, but it's livable and I'd rather not remove the cover again. Good product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Protects but at a cost, November 7, 2010

This is a great screen protector as far as its general construction, but it will affect your view as well. It has an increased amount of glare compared to a naked screen and it does darken the screen slightly. These little annoyances are overcome by the fact that now the screen seems well protected from scratches and bumps. It fits the Canon T2I perfectly and installation was just a matter of pulling back the paper and pressing it on the screen. The instructions do warn that it can be difficult to remove once in place. They recommend using a credit card to go around the edges and carefully pry it up. But I don't see any need right now to remove it. I'm very satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars GGS DSLR LCD Optical Glass Screen Protector for Canon T2i, September 15, 2010

This review is from: GGS DSLR LCD Optical Glass Screen Protector for Canon T2i (Electronics)
This is a very high quality optical glass screen protector. I have not had the success I had originally expected with the plastic stick-on protectors. It is hardly worth installing the plastic ones which takes 1.040K pixel LCD and distorts it readability especially as prints and smudges accumulate. Whereas, these GGS DSLR Optical Screen Protector is very high quality 6x layer optical glass so they work quite well and accentuate the T2i's already VERY NICE LCD.

5.0 out of 5 stars DSLR LCD screen protector, September 19, 2010

I bought a Canon T2i DSLR in late spring and wanted to protect the screen. Several reviews made this sound as good as is available. Certainly sounded better than the plastic screen protectors I have on other products. Attached easily, does not distort image. I'm happy with my purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality LCD Protector, February 12, 2011

I would agree with most of the previous reviewers on this product; clarity is good, easy install, glass not plastic, removable, fits well, price worth more for protection given, etc. I'm old school, always use the viewfinder.
