I wanted to get an LCD screen protector for my newly purchased Lumix LX5. And I wanted it as quickly as possible. Unfortunately I ordered a similar but incorrectly fitting LCD screen protector in my first attempt. The one you DO NOT want to order is the GGS Optical Glass LCD Screen Protector 3.0" for Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 10.1 MP Digital Cameras, it only covers over the actual 3" LCD but not the complete screen on the back of the LX5.

This is the one you want to get and it fits the back screen of the LX5 perfectly... absolutely perfectly. It is optically pure unlike many of the soft plastic screen protectors out there. Since it is actually mult-laminated and does contain glass, it can be broken either during installation, or while on your camera. The idea is that it is protecting your LX5 screen, so if the protector cracks while on your camera, consider it cheap insurance because if it cracks or gets scratched, it could have been your actual LX5 screen if you had not installed this beforehand.

In any case, you must install this very carefully, ensuring that your screen is completely dust-free and clean before you stick the protector on. The adhesive is only around the edges and once it's dropped on, you don't really get a second chance. If you ever want to remove it, you have to very carefully lift an edge a minute amount then use something like a credit card to slowly work your away around the LX5 screen to unglue the protector. You can't just bend it up and lift because it is glass and will snap.

This is great protection for my LX5 and I feel much better knowing that my screen is not going to get scratched. I can't really think if anything negative at all so it gets 5 stars from me.

This screen protector fits the LX-5 perfectly. I find that the cameras lcd is scratched very easily so I was glad to find a nice strong screen protector. Very easy to fit even though the instructions are in Chinese. There are youtube videos on how to install if needed. Just peel off backing, line up and stick on! Oh and by the way the left side of the GGS protector says "LX-3/LX-5/D-LUX4" if that matters to you.

I picked this up on a whim when the price dropped. Within a few days of putting it on the camera, my wife dropped the camera in a parking lot. The protective glass shattered. The camera's native glass below was untouched. The broken protector was easy to pull off. Buying two more now to replace it. At the current price, a GREAT purchase.

I actually feel sort of stupid that I have never heard of this product before. I always end up with battle scars on the screens of my cameras and just sort of figured it was just part of the territory of carting them around wherever I go. I knew about the sticky plastic protectors, but I am just really bad at getting them on without bubbles or dust.

This was VERY easy to apply, no dust, no bubbles, and is obviously high quality. I plan on buying another for my D40, as well as any future cameras I buy as well.

I'm a screen protector nut. I've slapped these things onto all my phones, cameras and mp3 players up until Gorilla Glass came along.
However, cameras still insist on using easily scratched glass, and the LX5 is no different.
Installation was simple. I cleaned the glass very thoroughly on the camera, then used a light to ensure no lint or dust particles remained.
To align the glass, I first took a picture of the wall with flash, then put the camera in playback mode, making sure that the lens retracted back into the body before putting the camera face-down.

The screen protector has a black border, which helps tremendously when placing it down. You have to be pretty precise because the screen protector overlaps the glass by a fraction of a mm. Took me only one try (using the playback method to help align the borders). Zero bubbles to contend with and the protector looks beautiful on an already beautiful camera.

The price is 7x higher than a plastic screen protector, but this one is the Ducati, the Mercedes and Lexus, the mansion of all screen protectors.

Not sure about the difference between this (older) model for LX3/LX5 and the one listed specifically for LX7, but it did fit perfectly my new LX7 ... saved a few $.

The GGS glass covers almost the entire glass on the back of your camera. It has a black border around the edge of the GGS glass that matches exactly the part of the LX7's LCD that turns on for you to see the scene.

Glass is very thin and transparent, can hardly tell it's there.

Mine says GGS Lx-5/3 D-LUX4 but it fits the LX7 perfectly.

I decided to purchase this product after reading about from the Panasonic LX5. It is not like those cheap cell phone screen protectors that are made of plastic that bend and scratch easily. This protector resembles glass so it comes out to be pretty thick. When you apply it have your camera on so you can center it on the LCD easily. It uses a Scotch 3M layer to stick on to the screen so its not going anywhere.

My final word, if you want a protector that can not only protect your screen from scratches but also impact hits, this is a must get.

The LCD protectors I got were not the ones listed. They don't state GGS on them. GGS protectors are well reviewed. I have no idea who makes the ones I got. I am returning them as they might be a cheap knock off and I may have difficulty removing them in the future. They are similar to the ones posted, but not by GGS as advertised. I am in the middle of figuring out the return with Blue Mall, who said it was a listing error.

This thing is expensive but the good part about it is that its covers the screen completely .
In addition its not just a sticker but a thick plastic protector that glue on your lcd .
So no bubbles and such and having better protection .

good stuff
