4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Piece of History, March 22, 2010
This review is from: GINGER ROGERS [LP VINYL] (Vinyl)
Side 1
1. We Can't Get Along (Office Blues-1929)
2. Dear Sir (Office Blues-1929)
3. Used to Be You (Hollywood On Parade-1931, with Jack Oakie, introduced by Frederic March)
4. Music Makes Me (Flying Down to Rio-1933)
5. Shake Your Powder Puff (Upperworld-1934)
6. Out For No Good (20 Million Sweethearts-1934)
7. I'll String Along With You (20 Million Sweethearts-1934, with Dick Powell)
8. I Got A New Lease on Life (In Person-1935)
9. Don't Mention Love to Me (In Person-1935)
10. Out of Sight, Out of Mind (In Person-1935)
11. Eeny Meeny Miney Mo (commercial recording with Johnny Mercer-1935)
12. You'll Be Reminded of Me (Vivacious Lady-1938)
Side 2
1. The Yam (Carefree-1938, with Fred Astaire)
2. My Ship/Girl of the Moment (Lady in the Dark-1944, with Ray Milland)
3. The Saga of Jenny (Lady in the Dark-1944, with Ray Milland and Warner Baxter)
4. A Weekend in the Country (The Barkleys of Broadway-1949, with Fred Astaire and Oscar Levant)
5. You'll Never Know (Dreamboat-1952)
6. Before the Parade Passes By (Hello, Dolly!-1964)
7. That's How Young I Feel (Mame-1972)

The only thing that bothered me is that none of the songs from Sitting Pretty (1933) were on the record, especially because the photograph on the back is a publicity shot from that movie. Other than that, I was very pleased with all of these recordings, many of which are not yet digitized.
