Book Description

Jack knew pain. They were old friends. He knew only one way to deal with pain. Hunt it down and kill it.

This bestselling action series is on sale for a limited-time to introduce you to hot new author Christopher Greyson. We hope you enjoy!

Girl Jacked is part of the Jack Stratton collection that has over 500 Five-Star reviews and more than 200,000 eBooks and paperbacks in distribution. If you love a great book with mystery, action, humor, and romance, try Girl Jacked today.

Police Officer Jack Stratton is hiding. Hiding from the world. From pain. From the memories of losing his best friend, Chandler, in Iraq. Suffering from PTSD and isolated from those he cares about, the last thing Jack expects to hear is his foster sister Michelle, Chandler’s sister, is gone. The words cut straight to his core. Although the police think she just took off, he knows Michelle would never leave those she loved behind–like he did. Now he must take action, find Michelle, and bring her home or die trying.

The first novel in the Jack Stratton Collection introduces us to handsome rogue, Jack Stratton. A debt of honor to his dead foster brother drives Jack into a world of deception and lies. As Jack’s walls begin to crumble, he must navigate the quirky characters that seep into the mystery of his foster sister’s disappearance. And in the sleepy community of Darrington, like so many places in this world, nothing is as it appears. The hidden mysteries that often go unnoticed begin to emerge as Jack and his new unpredictable sidekick begin to turn over the rocks. Following a trail that has grown cold, Jack must tread carefully to protect his job, his family, and his life.

Christopher Greyson’s novel weaves a tale full of mystery and action with humor and suspense. His unique stories and no-nonsense style of writing will take you on a page turning roller coaster ride of emotions right up to the end.

This stand-alone novel features rogue hero Jack Stratton. Look for other books in the Jack Stratton Collection including Girl Jacked, Jack Knifed, Jacks are Wild, and now Jack and the Giant Killer. They can be read in any order, however, they are best experienced in sequence.

Here is what people are saying about Girl Jacked:

• “It's a fun summer blockbuster action-thriller on paper…I nominate Charlie Hunnam to play Jack in the movie version.” – FruGAL
• “Exciting, thrill-a-minute story; engaging characters; snappy dialogue - all come together in "Girl Jacked"…There's a bit of police procedural, crime drama, murder mystery, along with the antics of the two protagonists…I loved Replacement. She's my favorite new character in a novel in a long time...” – Cheryl Stout – Amazon Top 600 Vine Voice Reviewer
• “Wow! What a great story! I have never read a Jack Stratton novel but now I am hooked.” – HortonVanB

• “My hats off to the author for showing me that a fun book of this type can be that way & not use the f-word over & over...” – Book & music lover
• “Finally a mystery novel that takes a new approach” – Stephen B. Fraser

Editorial Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars - "Deep down inside Jack knew he was a violent man.", November 25, 2013

What a great start to a new crime/thriller series! Exciting, thrill-a-minute story; engaging characters; snappy dialogue - all come together in "Girl Jacked" by author Greyson.
There's a bit of police procedural, crime drama, murder mystery, along with the antics of the two protagonists - Jack Stratton, a cop on a downward spiral until his foster sister Alice aka Replacement comes back into his life. I loved Replacement. She's my favorite new character in a novel in a long time. She's got huevos the size of beach balls.
Short chapters and fast paced action let me zoom through this story in just a few hours. I am already looking forward to the next book in the Jack Stratton series - "Jack-Knifed."
NOTE: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great mystery with interesting characters October 26, 2013
By Gemma
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jack Stratton is a cop. We first meet him on a night shift where he single-handedly 'calms down' three drunken lumberjacks who were causing trouble in a bar. After a stressful night he returns to his apartment only to find a naked girl in the shower and a very pissed off girlfriend. The naked girl turns out to be his foster sister whom he hadn't seen for many years. She tells him that his best friend's sister has disappeared and he's the only person who can help find her.

That's how the story begins and it only gets better from there.

This was a great book. A mystery that gets more and more complicated, interesting characters and great humor. I found myself laughing out loud quite a lot and I rarely do that when reading a book. I think that humor helped balance out the darker parts of the story which made the book even better.

I'm looking forward to other mysteries that Jack and Replacement solve together.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Simple Case that turns Complex November 24, 2013
Title: Girl Jacked

Author: Christopher Greyson

Genre: mystery

Girl Jacked, written by, revolved around a policeman named Jack. After discovering that the sister of his best friend from high school had gone missing, he is determined to take this case into his own hands. However, before he knows it, the mystery of the death of the missing girl has gotten him into a web of entangled lies and malice.

I liked the main character, Jack, a lot. There’s really no reason not to like him. He’s tough, he’s smart, determined and has a strong sense of ethics. However, he also experienced flashbacks of his time serving in the military. I found them to be insightul and help paint a better picture of his character. Also, I think the author did an excellent job of summing up Jack;s early years as a child in the scene in which Jack explains why he named himself Jack. Over all, Jack was a solidly built character.

Replacement (the name of the missing girl’s sister), on the other hand, was more of a wild card. Replacement’s real name is Alice, but everyone calls her Replacement, so that is the name I will use. She approaches Jack, seeking help to solve her missing sister’s case. Even though she’s supposed to be a young adult (early twenties?), she often acts like a twelve-year old. I got frustrated with her when she purposely disobeys Jack and ends up getting in trouble. I mean, I would’ve understood it if she ignored his orders once or twice, but the fact that she repeatedly took the opposite course of action of what Jack advised kind of annoyed me. Why should she seek help from Jack if she wasn’t going to listen to him?

At the beginning, the plot seemed like a simple missing-person mystery.

5.0 out of 5 stars A well written thrilling mystery November 13, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Girl Jaked got me hooked for the next book. It is not only a thrilling mystery; it is a character study of two lovable - in spite of their hang-ups - people. the characters are all well developed and the descriptions are written works of art. I was impressed with the respectful approach to God, even though the hero isn't a Christian. The last traumatic scene was very impressive too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Girl Jacked is a Great Read August 7, 2013
By jessi
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is a quick read with characters that suck you in. Jack is a great leading man with smarts and skills to back himself up. Replacement is a quirky girl still trying to find herself with great skills and dedication. Seeing them paired together made for a very interesting mystery that begged to be solved. The whole time I was hoping that they'd find Michelle and everything would work out, but the mystery lover knew that something wasn't right and everything was more complicated than it seemed. This is a solid novel and well worth the time it took to devour the pages. It's not a traditional mystery or cop fiction but it will leave you wanting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Just a Police Mystery November 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jack, a policeman who was a foster child, has suffered the loss of his dearest friend and co-foster brother in Iraq. As with most protagonists, Jack is an alcoholic and constantly relives Iraq and the loss of Chandler there. He has also abandoned his foster family. Another younger foster sister, "Replacement," comes to Jack to ask him to help find his foster sister (and Chandler's real sister) Michelle who is missing.

In addition to being a great police mystery, this book has a warm and growing relationship between Jack and the foster sister, Replacement. I enjoyed reading the book and had a hard time putting it down. Mr. Greyson has currently written three other books in the Jack Stratton series and I intend to read more of his works.

Girl Jacked, by author Christopher Greyson, was absolutely one of the best books I've EVER read, and I've read a whole bunch of really good books. The characters were so real, and you get to feeling like you are inside their heads. This book is fast is hard to find a stopping place! Obliviously, I really enjoyed this book, and I most certainly will be looking for other books by Christopher Greyson.

More About the Author

Hello. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Christopher Greyson and I am a storyteller.

Since I was little boy, I dreamt of what mystery was around the next corner, or quest lay over the hill. If I couldn't find an adventure, one usually found me, and now I weave those tales into my stories.

I am blessed to have written the best-selling Jack Stratton mystery series with over 125,000 eBooks and paperbacks in distribution. The collection includes "Girl Jacked", "Jack Knifed", and "Jacks Are Wild". My latest novel "Jack and the Giant Killer" is due out summer of 2014.

My background is an eclectic mix of degrees in Theatre, Communications and Computer Science. Currently I reside in Massachusetts with my lovely wife and two fantastic children. My wife, Katherine Greyson, who is my chief content editor, is an author of her own romance series "Everyone Keeps Secrets".

My love for tales of mystery and adventure began with my grandfather, a World War I decorated hero. I will never forget being introduced to my grandfather's friend, a WWI pilot who flew across the skies at the same time as the feared legendary Red Baron. My love of reading and storytelling eventually lead me to write "Pure of Heart" a young adult fantasy that I plan to release later in 2014.

I love to hear from my readers. Please go to I plan in the next coming months to add free content including side stories and vignettes involving the characters from the series. Please sign-up for my mailing list and receive periodic updates on this and new book releases. Thank you for reading my novels and I hope my stories have brightened your day.
